Fil Eisler revealed in a recent interview with Buddy TV that he is set to score the upcoming ABC drama pilot Kingmakers. The show is created by Sallie Patrick (Revenge) and stars Gus Halper, Adrian Pasdar, Will Flaherty and Kristin Bauer van Straten. The drama follows a young man whose sister is found dead during her freshman year at an elite Ivy League university and adopts a new identity to infiltrate the school and its century-old secret society in order to investigate her death. Aaron Zigman is currently scoring the upcoming biographical drama I Saw the Light. The film is directed by Marc Abraham (producer of Children of Men, Dawn of the Dead and The Family Man) and stars Tom Hiddleston, Elizabeth Olsen, Bradley Whitford, David Krumholtz, Wrenn Schmidt, Josh Pais, Maddie Hasson and James DuMont. The movie tells the story of country music singer Hank Williams’ rise to fame and sudden death at the age of 29. Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Expected to top the weekend box office is the second part in the Divergent series, Insurgent directed by Robert Schwentke and starring Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Octavia Spencer, Jai Courtney, Ray Stevenson, Zoë Kravitz, Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Maggie Q, Naomi Watts and Kate Winslet. Joseph Trapanese (Oblivion, Earth to Echo) has composed the film’s original score. Interscope Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the film by such artists as M83 feat. Haim, Imagine Dragons, Royal Blood, Woodkid feat. Lykke Li, Anna Calvi, SOHN and Zella Day, as well as a score suite. Click here for the full details. The movie follows an American journalist who travels to Cuba in 1959, on a mission to meet his idol, the legendary Ernest Hemingway.
