Walt Disney Records will release a soundtrack album for the Disney Channel original movie Teen Beach 2. The album features the songs from the film performed by cast members including Ross Lynch and Maia Mitchell as Brady and McKenzie, Garrett Clayton, Grace Phipps, Chrissie Fit, Jordan Fisher, William Loftis, Kent Boyd, John DeLuca, Mollee Gray, Jessica Keller, Mason Cutler and Raymond Cham Jr. The soundtrack will be released on June 23, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Abel Korzeniowski Wins BAFTA TV Craft Award for ‘Penny Dreadful’

Abel Korzeniowski was honored with his first BAFTA TV Craft Award for his music for Showtime’s Penny Dreadful at the the British Academy Television Craft Awards today at The Brewery, City of London. Producer Pippa Harris accepted the award on the composer’s behalf. A soundtrack album featuring selections of Korzeniowski’s score for the first season of the series is available on Varese Sarabande. The show also won awards for Production Design and Make Up & Hair Design. The other composers nominated in the Original Music category were John Lunn for Downton Abbey, Martin Phipps for The Honorable Woman and Richard Spiller for Life and Death Row – Execution. Jonathan Goldsmith is scoring the upcoming Netflix original series Between. The show is created by Michael McGowan (Still Mine, One Week) and stars Jenette McCurdy, Jesse Carere, Jack Murray, Justin Kelly, Krystal Nausbaum, Brooke Palsson, Jim Watson, Wesley Morgan, Michael Reventar, Kyle Mac, Ryan Allen and Michael Boisvert. The sci-fi thriller takes place in a town is under siege from a mysterious disease that has killed everybody — except for those 21 years old and younger. The album features the film’s original music composed by Andrew Lockington (Journey to the Center of the Earth, Journey 2: Mysterious Island, San Andreas). Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the romantic drama The Age of Adaline directed by Lee Toland Krieger and starring Blake Lively, Michiel Huisman, Kathy Baker, Amanda Crew, Harrison Ford and Ellen Burstyn. The film’s original music is composed by Rob Simonsen (Foxcatcher, (500) Days of Summer, The Spectacular Now). Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as the end credits song Start Again. Also opening wide is the drama Little Boy directed by Alejandro Monteverde and starring Emily Watson, Tom Wilkinson, Kevin James, Ben Chaplin, Michael Rapaport, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Ted Levine, David Henrie, Eduardo Verastegui and Jakob Salvatri. Stephan Altman and Mark Foster, from Foster the People, have composed the film’s original music. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the movie’s score earlier this week. John Ottman & David Buckley to Score Shane Black’s ‘The Nice Guys’

John Ottman and David Buckley are set to score the upcoming detective thriller The Nice Guys. The film is directed by Shane Black (Iron Man 3, screenwriter of Lethal Weapon) and stars Russell Crowe, Ryan Gosling, Matt Bomer, Kim Basinger, Angourie Rice, Beau Knapp, Keith David and Margaret Qualley. The movie is set in 1970s Los Angeles and follows a down-on-his-luck private eye and a hired leg-breaker who must work together to solve the case of a missing girl and the seemingly unrelated death of a porn star. Black also co-wrote the script with Anthony Bagarozzi. Joel Silver (The Matrix, Die Hard, V for Vendetta, Sherlock Holmes) is producing the project through his Silver Pictures company. ‘Ladygrey’ Soundtrack Details

Joseph LoDuca to Score Starz’s ‘Ash vs. Evil Dead’ TV Series

Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert and Bruce Campbell revealed in a recent interview with Collider that Joseph LoDuca will be providing the score for the upcoming Starz original series Ash vs. Evil Dead. The show is the follow-up to the classic film franchise The Evil Dead and stars Bruce Campbell who will be reprising his role as Ash, the stock boy, aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead. Lucy Lawless, Ray Santiago, Dana DeLorenzo and Jill Marie Jones are c0-starring. Sam Raimi (Spider-Man, Oz: The Great and Powerful) is directing the pilot episode and is also executive producing the project with Rob Tapert (Drag Me to Hell, The Grudge), Campbell and Craig DiGregorio who will also serve as the showrunner of the project. Trevor Morris has been hired to score the upcoming action thriller sequel London Has Fallen. The film is directed by Babak Najafi (Snabba Cash II) and stars Gerard Butler who returns as Secret Service agent Mike Banning, alongside Aaron Eckhart as the U.S. President, Morgan Freeman as Vice President Trumbull, Angela Bassett as Secret Service Director Lynne Jacobs and Melissa Leo as Defense Secretary Ruth McMillan. Robert Forster, Sean O’Bryan, Radha Mitchell, Jackie Earle Haley, Alon Aboutboul, Charlotte Riley and Waleed Zuaiter are co-starring. The sequel takes place in London during the funeral of the British Prime Minister who has passed away under mysterious circumstances, when Banning discovers a plot to assassinate all the attending world leaders.
