Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the superhero movie Shazam! Fury of the Gods directed by David F. Sandberg and starring Zachary Levi, Jack Dylan Grazer, Asher Angel, Rachel Zegler, Lucy Liu, Helen Mirren, Adam Brody, Meagan Good, Ross Butler, D.J. Cotrona and Djimon Hounsou. The film’s original music is composed by Christophe Beck (Ant-Man series, Frozen, WandaVision, Free Guy, Edge of Tomorrow, The Hangover). . WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last Friday. Check out our previous article for the full album details and to learn more about the Warner Bros. Opening semi-wide in around 800 theaters is the comedy drama Moving On written and directed by Paul Weitz and starring Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Malcolm McDowell and Richard Roundtree. Amanda Jones (Naomi, Super/Natural, Twenties, Good Trouble, Adventure Time: Distant Lands, Somebody Somewhere) has composed the film’s original score. No word on a soundtrack release. The movie, which follows two estranged friends who reunite to seek revenge on the petulant widower of their recently deceased best friend, premiered at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival and is being released by Roadside Attractions.

‘The Forger’ Soundtrack Album Details

MovieScore Media will release a soundtrack album for the German drama The Forger (Der Passfälscher). The album features the film’s original music composed by Mario Grigorov (Precious, The Paperboy, Kill Chain, Shadowdancer, Petals on the Wind). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Thursday, October 13 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Forger is written and directed by Maggie Peren and stars Louis Hofmann, Jonathan Berlin, Nina Gummich, Luna Wedler, André Jung, Marc Limpach and Yotam Ishay. The movie tells the true story of Cioma Schönhaus, a Jewish man who repeatedly escaped the Gestapo during World War II thanks to his ability to forge passports.

The film is written and directed by Maggie Peren (Color of the Ocean, Stellungswechsel) and stars Louis Hofmann, Jonathan Berlin, Luna Wedler, Nina Gummich, André Jung, Marc Limpach and Yotam Ishay. Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is the romantic drama The Age of Adaline directed by Lee Toland Krieger and starring Blake Lively, Michiel Huisman, Kathy Baker, Amanda Crew, Harrison Ford and Ellen Burstyn. The film’s original music is composed by Rob Simonsen (Foxcatcher, (500) Days of Summer, The Spectacular Now). Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as the end credits song Start Again. Also opening wide is the drama Little Boy directed by Alejandro Monteverde and starring Emily Watson, Tom Wilkinson, Kevin James, Ben Chaplin, Michael Rapaport, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Ted Levine, David Henrie, Eduardo Verastegui and Jakob Salvatri. Stephan Altman and Mark Foster, from Foster the People, have composed the film’s original music. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the movie’s score earlier this week. Rob Cairns has taken over scoring duties on the upcoming thriller The Forger. The movie is directed by Philip Martin and stars John Travolta, Christopher Plummer, Tye Sheridan, Jennifer Ehle, Anson Mount, Abigail Spencer and Marcus Thomas. The film follows an expert art forger who is released from prison so that he can spend time with his dying son when he reteams with his father to carry out one last big job for the syndicate. The screenplay is written by Richard D’Ovidio (The Call, Exit Wounds). Al Corley, Bart Rosenblatt & Eugene Musso (You Kill Me) are producing the project with Rob Carliner (Crazy Heart, The Apostle).

Stephen Warbeck has been hired to score the upcoming thriller The Forger. The film is directed by Philip Martin (Wallander) and stars John Travolta, Christopher Plummer, Tye Sheridan, Jennifer Ehle, Anson Mount, Abigail Spencer and Marcus Thomas. The movie follows a second-generation petty thief who arranges to buy his way out of prison to spend time with his ailing son and reteams with his father to carry out one last big job for the syndicate. Richard D’Ovidio (The Call, Exit Wounds) has written the screenplay. Al Corley & Bart Rosenblatt (You Kill Me, Drowning Mona) are producing the project for Coce Entertainment, alongsid Lisa Wilson & Myles Nestel (Laggies) for Solution Entertainment Group and Rob Carliner (Crazy Heart, The Apostle).
