Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1995 sci-fi action adventure Judge Dredd directed by Danny Cannon and starring Sylvester Stallone, Diane Lane, Armand Assante and Rob Schneider. The 2-CD set features the film’s original score composed by Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, The Avengers, Captain America: The First Avenger), including more than an hour of previously unreleased music and alternate takes. Also included is the music from the film’s first trailer composed by Jerry Goldsmith. Mark Mothersbaugh is writing the theme music and Adam Berry is composing the original score for the Amazon Studios pilot Lost in Oz. The animated show is set in a modern, metropolitan Emerald City in which 12-year-old Dorothy Gale befriends West, a young, street-smart witch grappling with dark temptations, and Ojo, a giant munchkin. Bureau of Magic’s Darin Mark, Jared Mark, Abram Makowka and Mark Warshaw (East Los High, Smallville) are developing and producing the project, which is designed by Flaunt Productions and animated by Arc Productions (9, Gnomeo & Juliet). Marcelo Zarvos has signed on to score the upcoming action comedy American Ultra. The film is directed by Nima Nourizadeh (Project X) and stars Jesse Eisenberg, Kristen Stewart, Topher Grace, Tony Hale, John Leguizamo, Bill Pullman and Walton Goggins. The movie follows a seemingly hapless and unmotivated stoner whose small-town life with his live-in girlfriend is suddenly turned upside down when he finds out that he is actually a highly trained, lethal sleeper agent. Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the western Slow West. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jed Kurzel (The Babadook, Son of a Gun, Macbeth The Snowtown Murders). The full details of the soundtrack album for the musical comedy sequel Pitch Perfect 2 have been revealed. The album features the songs from the film performed by the film’s cast, including the original song Flashlight written by Jessie J. Also included is a track from the movie’s original score composed by Mark Mothersbaugh (The Lego Movie, 21 Jump Street, The Royal Tenenbaums), as well as Jerry Goldsmith’s Universal Fanfare performed by Elizabeth Banks & John Michael Higgins.
