Sony Masterworks will release a soundtrack album for the British musical comedy drama Christmas Karma. The album features the original songs from the film written by Gary Barlow, Nitin Sawhney (who also serves as the project’s music producer and score composer), Shaznay Lewis, Ben Cullum, Panjabi MC & others. The soundtrack will be released digitally on November 14 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The movie’s title song performed by Lewis, Pixie Lott & Austin Howard is already to stream/download now and can also be checked out after the jump. Christmas Karma is written and directed by Gurinder Chadha and stars Kunal Nayyar, Eva Longoria, Billy Porter, Danny Dyer, Boy George, Leo Suter, Pixie Lott, Charithra Chandran and Hugh Bonneville.

Take That’s Gary Barlow, All Saints’ Shaznay Lewis and composer Nitin Sawhney (The Namesake, Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle, Breathe,What’s Love Got to Do With It?) have been tapped to write the music for the upcoming movie musical Christmas Karma. The film is directed by Gurinder Chadha (Bend It Like Beckham, Blinded by the Light) and will star Kunal Nayyar, Eva Longoria, Billy Porter, Boy George, Hugh Bonneville, Leo Suter, Pixie Lott, Charithra Chandran, Danny Dyer, Allan Corduner, Bilal Hasna, Tracy-Ann Oberman, Eve, Rufus Jones and Nitin Ganatra. The movie is being described a Bollywood musical retelling of Charles Dickens’ classic A Christmas Carol set in London.
‘Blinded by the Light’ Soundtrack Details
Sony Music will release the official soundtrack album for the drama Blinded by the Light. The album features the songs from the movie by Bruce Springsteen. Also included are two tracks from the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winner A.R. Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire, 127 Hours), as well as songs by Pet Shop Boys, a-ha & more. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on August 9, 2019 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Blinded by the Light is directed by Gurinder Chadha and stars Viveik Kalra, Hayley Atwell, Rob Brydon, Kulvinder Ghir, Nell Williams, Dean-Charles Chapman and Aaron Phagura. The movie is set to the music and lyrics of Springsteen’s timeless songs and tells the story of a British teen of Pakistani descent, growing up in the town of Luton, England, in 1987 who writes poetry as a means to escape the intolerance of his hometown and the inflexibility of his traditional father.
A.R. Rahman to Reteam with Gurinder Chadha on ‘Blinded by the Light’
A.R. Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire, 127 Hours, The Hundred-Foot Journey) is reteaming with director Grinder Chadha on the upcoming British comedy drama Blinded by the Light. The film and stars Viveik Kalra, Hayley Atwell, Rob Brydon, Kulvinder Ghir, Nell Williams and Aaron Phagura. The movie is set 1987 during the austere days of Thatcher’s Britain and follows a teenager as he learns to live life, understand his family and find his own voice through the music of Bruce Springsteen. Chadha (Bend It Like Beckham, Bride & Prejudice) also co-wrote the screenplay with Sarfraz Manzoor & Paul Mayeda Berges and is producing the project with Jane Barclay and Jamal Daniel.

A.R. Rahman is composing the music for the upcoming period drama Viceroy’s House. The film is directed by Gurinder Chadha (Bend It Like Beckham) and stars Hugh Bonneville, Gillian Anderson, Simon Callow, Lily Travers, Michael Gambon, Manish Dayal, Huma Qureshi, Om Puri, Tanveer Ghani, Denzil Smith and Neeraj Kabi. The movie chronicles the life inside Viceroy’s House, the sumptuous Delhi home of the British rulers of India, and the momentous political decisions that led to the Partition of India in 1947. Chadha has also co-written the screenplay with Paul Mayeda Berges and Moira Buffini (Jane Eyre, Tamara Drewe).
