Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack release for Paramount Pictures’ 1993 drama Indecent Proposal directed by Adrian Lyne and starring Robert Redford, Demi Moore and Woody Harrelson. The album features the expanded original score from the movie composed and conducted by Academy Award winner John Barry (Dance With Wolves, Out of Africa, Goldfinger), including over 45 minutes of previously unreleased music and alternate cues. Harry Gregson-Williams to Score Ridley Scott’s ‘The Martian’

The first trailer for the upcoming sci-fi adventure The Martian confirms that Harry Gregson-Williams has been tapped to score the film. The movie is directed by Ridley Scott (Gladiator, Alien, Blade Runner) and stars Matt Damon, Jeff Daniels, Kate Mara, Michael Pena, Kristen Wiig, Jessica Chastain, Sean Bean, Mackenzie Davis, Kate Mara, Donald Glover, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Sebastian Stan. The film is based on Andy Weir’s 2012 e-book publication and follows an astronaut character who is stranded on Mars and must survive in a brutal environment and find a way to notify NASA that he’s still alive. Premiering tomorrow, June 8, is the Bravo original series Odd Mom Out created by Jill Kargman who also stars in the show alongside Abby Elliott, Andy Buckley, Sean Kleier, KK Glick and Joanna Cassidy. The show’s original music is composed by John Dragonetti (The Internet’s Own Boy: The Story of Aaron Swartz, We Are Legion: The Story of the Hacktivists). Odd Mom Out follows a woman who is forced to navigate the wealthy mommy clique that reside in New York’s Upper East Side, which is one of the most prestigious neighborhoods in town. Also premiering tomorrow is the second season of TNT’s Murder in the First created by Steven Bochco & Eric Lodal and starring Taye Diggs, Kathleen Robertson, A.J. Scott Salinas (The Square, Allegiance, The Assets) is the new composer of the show and follows The Hat who scored the first season of the drama. Season 2 of Murder in the First follows homicide detectives Terry English and Hildy Mulligan working on a new case. The film marks the feature directorial debut of theatre director Simon Stone and stars Paul Schneider, Ewen Leslie, Geoffrey Rush, Mirando Otto, Anna Torv, Odessa Young and Sam Neill. The movie follows a man who returns home to discover a long-buried family secret and whose attempts to put things right threaten the lives of those he left years before. Three new movies are opening nationwide this week:
Expected to top the weekend box office is the action comedy Spy directed by Jude Law and starring Melissa McCarthy, Jason Statham, Rose Byrne, Bobby Cannavale, Allison Janney, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Miranda Hart and Jude Law. The film’s original music is composed by Theodore Shapiro (The Devil Wears Prada, Tropic Thunder). Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as the original song Who Can You Trust, which he co-wrote with Craig Wedren and is performed Ivy Levan. Gabriel Yared has been hired to score the upcoming romantic drama By the Sea. The film marks the third directorial feature of Angelina Jolie who also stars in the movie alongside Brad Pitt, Mélanie Laurent, Niels Arestrup, Melvil Poupaud and Richard Bohringer. The drama follows an American writer who arrives with his wife a tranquil and picturesque seaside resort in 1970s France with their marriage in apparent crisis. ‘Preservation’ Soundtrack Announced

A soundtrack album will be released for the horror thriller Preservation. The album features the film’s original music composed by Alexis & Sam (We’ll Never Have Paris, Lila & Eve). Howard Shore to Headline Cordoba International Film Music Festival

The International Film Music Festival of the Province of Córdoba has announced the lineup for their 11th edition, which will take place from July 19 to 26, 2015 in Córdoba, Spain. Academy Award winner Howard Shore will be the special guest of the festival, which will feature two nights of composer’s music, including a concert featuring Shore’s score from The Lord of the Rings trilogy and a career retrospective featuring music from the composer’s long-standing collaborations with directors Martin Scorsese (Hugo, The Aviator, The Departed) and David Cronenberg (The Fly, A History of Violence, Eastern Promises). In addition, Emmy Award-winner Bear McCreary (The Walking Dead, Battlestar Galactica, Marvel’s Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., Da Vinci’s Demons) will receive the third annual Elmer Bernstein Award.
