Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the animated feature Inside Out directed by Pete Docter and featuring the voices of Amy Poehler, Bill Hader, Mindy Kaling, Lewis Black and Phyllis Smith. The film’s original music is composed by Michael Giacchino (Up, Ratatouille, The Incredibles, Jurassic World, Star Trek). Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score earlier this week. Also opening wide is the comedy drama Dope written and directed by Rick Famuyiwa and starring Shameik Moore, Tony Revolori, Kiersey Clemons, Kimberly Elise, A$AP Rocky, Blake Anderson, Keith Stanfield, Chanel Iman, Quincy Brown and Zoë Kravitz. Pharrell Williams has written the movie’s original songs performed by the fictional band Awreeoh. Also included and Germaine Franco has composed the film’s original score. Columbia Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the film by Awreeoh, Digital Underground, Naughty By Nature, A Tribe Called Quest, Nas, Public Enemy & more.
