Premiering on Friday, July 31 is the Disney Channel original movie Descendants directed and executive produced by Kenny Ortega and starring Dove Cameron, Cameron Boyce, Booboo Stewart, Sofia Carson, Mitchell Hope, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Maz Jobrani, Kathy Najimy and Kristin Chenoweth. The full album details of the soundtrack album for the action sequel Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Joe Kraemer (Jack Reacher, The Way of the Gun, Femmes Fatales). The soundtrack will be released physically on La-La Land Records’ website on July 28, digitally on July 31 and elsewhere on August 4. Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the sci-fi action comedy Pixels directed by Chris Columbus and starring Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Michelle Monaghan, Peter Dinklage, Josh Gad and Brian Cox. The film’s original music is composed by Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Big Hero 6, X-Men: First Class, Wreck-It-Ralph). Also opening wide is the boxing drama Southpaw directed by Antoine Fuqua and starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Rachel McAdams, Forest Whitaker, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Naomie Harris, Oona Laurence and Rita Ora. James Horner (Avatar, Titanic, A Beautiful Mind) composed his last film score for the film, which is also dedicated to the composer.
