A24 Music has released the tribute album (Everyone’s Getting Involved) for the 1984 concert movie Stop Making Sense directed by Jonathan Demme and starring Talking Heads (David Byrne, Tina Weymouth, Chris Frantz & Jerry Harrison). The album features covers of the Talking Heads songs from the film performed by Miley Cyrus, The National, The Linda Lindas, Blondshell, El Mato, Paramore, Teezo Touchdown, DJ Tunez,Jean Dawson, The Cavemen., BADBADNOTGOOD, Toro y Moi, Kevin Abstract, girl in red, Lorde and Chicano Batman. The tribute album is now available to stream/download on most major digital music services. A CD and vinyl edition will be released this summer and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. ‘Ricki and the Flash’ Soundtrack Details
Republic Records will release a soundtrack album for the musical comedy drama Ricki and the Flash. The album features the songs from the film by the fictional band from the film led by Meryl Streep, including the original song Cold One written by Jenny Lewis and Johnathan Rice. Also included are songs by Lucinda Williams, Emmylou Harris, Henry Wolfe and the Feelies. The soundtrack will be released on August 7, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Ricki and the Flash is directed by Jonathan Demme, written by Diablo Cody and stars Meryl Streep, Kevin Kline, Mamie Gummer, Audra McDonald, Sebastian Stan and Rick Springfield.

Jenny Lewis and Johnathan Rice have written the original song Cold One for Jonathan Demme’s comedy drama Ricki and the Flash. The song is performed by Meryl Streep who stars in the film alongside Kevin Kline, Mammie Gummer, Audra McDonald, Sebastian Stan and Rick Springfield. The movie directed by Demme (The Silence of the Lambs, Philadelphia) and scripted by Diablo Cody (Juno, Young Adult) follows a guitar heroine who made a world of mistakes as she followed her dreams of rock-and-roll stardom and gets a shot at redemption and a chance to make things right as she faces the music with her family.
