Three new movies are opening nationwide this week:

allegiantOpening in most theaters is the sci-fi adventure The Divergent Series: Allegiant directed by Robert Schwentke and starring Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Octavia Spencer, Naomi Watts, Jeff Daniels, Ray Stevenson, Zoë Kravitz, Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort and Maggie Q. The film’s original music is composed by Joseph Trapanese (OblivionStraight Outta Compton) who previously scored last year’s Insurgent. Island Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as the original end credits song Scars by Tove Lo. Check out our previous article for the full album details.

miracles-from-heavenAlready in theaters since this past Wednesday is the drama Miracles From Heaven directed by Patricia Riggen and starring Jennifer Garner, Queen Latifah, Martin Henderson, John Carroll Lynch, Kylie Rogers and Eugenio Derbez. Carlo Siliotto (The Punisher, FlukeNomad: The Warrior) who previously collaborated with the director on Under the Same Moon has composed the film’s original music. Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. despite-the-falling-snowCube Soundtracks will release a soundtrack album for the spy thriller Despite the Falling Snow. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Rachel Portman (EmmaThe Cider House RulesChocolatNever Let Me GoThe Manchurian CandidateRace). The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 15, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. christopher-lennertzChristopher Lennertz has signed on to score the upcoming comedy Bad Moms. The film is written and directed by Jon Lucas & Scott Moore (21 & Over, writers of The Hangover) and stars Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, Christina Applegate, Jada Pinkett Smith and Kathryn Hahn. The movie follows three moms who embark on a quest to liberate themselves from their mundane life, accidentally landing themselves on a collision course with their children’s school’s PTA president and her blindly devoted clique of “perfect” moms. the-voicesVarese Sarabande has released a soundtrack album for the dark comedy The Voices. The album features the film’s original music composed by Olivier Bernet (PersepolisChicken with Plums). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. The Voices is directed by Marjane Satrapi and stars Ryan Reynolds, Gemma Arterton, Anna Kendrick and Jacki Weaver. The movie centers around a lovable but disturbed factory worker with an evil talking cat and a benevolent talking dog who pursues his office crush, but things turn sinister when she stands him up for a date. whatcha-gonna-doHollywood Records and Marvel Music have released the original song Whatcha Gonna Do (It’s Up to You) from the ABC drama Agent Carter. The song was written by the show’s composer Christopher Lennertz (Horrible Bosses, Ride AlongSupernatural) and David Zippel for the Season 2 episode A Little Song and Dance, which premiered last month. The track is performed by actors Enver Gjokaj and Hayley Atwell. The song is now available to download on Amazon. sing-streetDecca Records will release a soundtrack album for the musical comedy drama Sing Street. The album features the original songs from the film written by director John Carney and Gary Clark. Also included are the other songs from the movie by artists including Adam Levine, The Cure, Motörhead, Duran Duran, The Jam & more. The soundtrack will be released digitally overseas tomorrow, March 18 and in the U.S. next month. Visit Amazon to pre-order the album. loving-vincentClint Mansell has been hired to score the upcoming animated feature Loving Vincent. The film is directed by Dorota Kobiela (Little Postman) & Hugh Welchman (Peter & the Wolf) and features the voices of Douglas Booth, Saoirse Ronan, Jerome Flynn, Chris O’Dowd, Eleanor Tomlinson, Aidan Turner, John Sessions and Helen McCrory. The movie tells the story of the final months and mysterious death of artist Vincent Van Gogh. Hugh Welchman and Ivan Mactaggart (My Week with Marilyn) are producing the project. the-catchChad Fischer is composing the music for the new ABC drama The Catch. The show is created by Jennifer Schuur and stars Mireille Enos, Peter Krause, Alimi Ballard, Jay Hayden, Jacky Ido, Rose Rollins, Elvy Yost and Sonya Walger. The series follows a female forensics accountant in Los Angeles whose career specialty is exposing fraud for a living. Shonda Rhimes (Grey’s AnatomyHow to Get Away with Murder) is executive producing the ABC Studios production with Betsy Beers, Allan Heinberg and Julie Anne Robinson (One for the MoneyThe Last Song). ‘Sherpa’ Soundtrack Announced

sherpaLakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Sherpa. The album features the film’s original music composed by Antony Partos (Animal Kingdom, 99 Homes, The Rover). The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 1, 2016 and physically later this year. the-crownHans Zimmer and Rupert Gregson-Williams have recently recorded their music for the upcoming Netflix original series The Crown. The show is created by Peter Morgan (The QueenThe Last King of Scotland) and stars Claire Foy, Matt Smith, Vanessa Kirby and John Lithgow. The 10-parter is based on Morgan’s play The Audience and centers on the interplay and political intrigue between Queen Elizabeth II and the British prime ministers spanning several decades. The Sony Pictures TV and Left Bank Pictures production is executive produced by Morgan, Stephen Daldry (The HoursThe Reader), Andy Harries (The Damned United), Suzanne Mackie (Calendar Girls), Philip Martin (The Forger),  Robert Fox (Notes on a Scandal), Tanya Seghatchian (My Summer of Love) and Matthew Byam Shaw.
