Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the ensemble romantic comedy Mother’s Day directed by Garry Marshall and starring Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson, Julia Roberts and Jason Sudeikis. The film’s original music is composed by John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, The Jungle Book, Elf, Iron Man 2) who previously scored Valentine’s Day, New Year’s Eve and The Princess Diaries movies for the director. Also opening wide is the comedy Keanu directed by Peter Atencio and starring Jordan Peele, Keegan-Michael Key, Tiffany Haddish, Method Man, Jason Mitchell, Luis Guzman, Nia Long and Will Forte. Steve Jablonsky (Transformers, Ender’s Game, Desperate Housewives) and Nathan Whitehead (The Purge series, Delirium) have composed the film’s original music. No word yet on a soundtrack album.
