The full details of the soundtrack album for Disney’s live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast have been revealed. The album features the songs from the film composed by Alan Menken (Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Enchanted, Tangled) feat. lyrics by Howard Ashman (The Little Mermaid, Aladdin) and Tim Rice (Evita, The Lion King) performed by the movie’s cast, as well as Celine Dion, Ariana Grande & John Legend and Josh Groban. Also included is the film’s original score composed by Menken. The soundtrack will be released in two different editions on March 10. The album features the film’s original music composed by Kevin Riepl (Gears of War video game, Cabin Fever, Batman Unlimited, Silent Night). The album features selections from the original music of the show’s second season composed by Emmy Award winner Michael Price (Sherlock, The Inbetweeners 2, Horrid Henry: The Movie, Just Jim). Focus Features has confirmed today that Jonny Greenwood will be reteaming with director Paul Thomas Anderson on his next, currently untitled project. The movie starring Daniel Day-Lewis, Lesley Manville and Vicky Krieps is set in the couture world of 1950s London and centers on the life behind the curtain of an uncompromising dressmaker commissioned by royalty and high society. Anderson who also wrote the screenplay is producing the project with JoAnne Sellar (Magnolia, Boogie Nights) and Megan Ellison (Her, Sausage Party, Zero Dark Thirty, Spring Breakers) through her Annapurna Pictures company. In addition, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who contributed the lyrics to Justin Hurwitz’s songs from La La Land and wrote the score for the stage musicals Dear Evan Hansen and Dogfight, have composed the original song Runnin’ Home to You, which will be performed by Gustin.
