‘Good Time’ Soundtrack Announced

Warp Records will release the official soundtrack album for the indie crime thriller Good Time. The album features the film’s original music composed by Oneohtrix Point Never, including a track with vocals and lyrics co-written by Iggy Pop. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on August 11, 2017 and will be available for pre-order on Amazon within the next day. Good Time is directed by Ben Safdie & Joshua Safdie and stars Robert Pattinson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Barkhad Abdi and Benny Safdie. The movie follows a man who embarks on a twisted odyssey through New York City’s underworld in an increasingly desperate—and dangerous—attempt to get his brother out of jail. Columbia will release a soundtrack album for the animated sequel Despicable Me 3. The album features the original songs and themes from the movie written by Pharrell Williams, including the original track Yellow Light, which will be released tomorrow. Also included are songs by a-ha, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Nena, as well as a suite from the movie’s original score by Heitor Pereira (The Angry Birds Movie, The Smurfs) who previously scored the first two movies and the spin-off Minions. George Kallis to Score ‘Cliffs of Freedom’

George Kallis has been hired to score the upcoming historical drama Cliffs of Freedom. The film marks the feature directorial debut of visual effects artist Van Ling and stars Christopher Plummer, Tania Raymonde, Patti LuPone, Kevin Corrigan, Jan Uddin, Billy Zane and Raza Jeffrey. The movie centers on the ill-fated romance between a Greek village girl and a conflicted Turkish officer during the dawn of the Greek War for Independence against the Ottoman Empire in 1821. The rock band Eagles of Death Metal is currently recording the score for the upcoming comedy sequel Super Troopers 2. The film is directed by Jay Chandrasekhar (The Dukes of Hazzard, Beerfest) who also helmed the 2001 original and also stars in the movie with Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter, Erik Stolhanske, Rob Lowe, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Brian Cox, Tyler Labine, Lynda Carter Will Sasso and Hayes MacArthur. Johann Johannsson is attached to score the upcoming action thriller Mandy. The film will be directed by Panos Cosmatos (Beyond the Black Rainbow) and is set to star Nicolas Cage. The movie is set in the primal wilderness of 1983 where a broken and haunted man hunts an unhinged religious sect who slaughtered the love of his life. Daniel Noah, Josh C. Waller (Cooties, Camino) & Elijah Wood are producing the project for Spectrevision, alongside Nate Bolotin (The Raid 2) for XYZ Films and Adrian Politowski (Erased) for Umedia.
