Premiering in the U.S. on February 20 is the British crime drama The Frankenstein Chronicles created by Benjamin Ross & Barry Langford and starring Sean Bean, Tom Ward, Richie Campbell, Vanessa Kirby, Ed Stoppard and Ryan Sampson. Roger Goula (Next Goal Wins, Identicals) and Harry Escott (Shame, Hard Candy, Welcome to the Punch) have composed the show’s original music. The series’ first season premiered in the UK in 2015 and the second season last year on ITV. Both seasons of the drama will be available to stream in the U.S. on Netflix. Marc Chouarain is reuniting with Melanie Laurent on the upcoming thriller Galveston. The film is written and directed by Laurent and stars Ben Foster, Elle Fanning, Beau Bridges, Adepero Aduye, Lili Reinhart, Maria Valverde, Robert Aramayo and C.K. McFarland. The movie is based on the novel by Nic Pizzolatto (True Detective) and follows a hitman who rescues a young prostitute and flees with her to Galveston, Texas, where the two find strength in each other as dangerous pursuers and the shadows of their pasts follow close behind. Three new movies are opening in theaters nationwide:
Opening in most theaters is Marvel Studios’ Black Panther directed by Ryan Coogler and stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke and Andy Serkis. Ludwig Goransson (Creed, Community, Fruitvale Station) has composed the film’s original score. Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack featuring the composer’s score. Also opening wide is the animated feature Early Man directed by Nick Park and featuring the voices of Eddie Redmayne, Tom Hiddleston, Maisie Williams, Timothy Spall and Richard Ayoade. Harry Gregson-Williams (The Chronicles of Narnia, The Martian, Shrek) & Tom Howe (Professor Marston and the Wonder Women) have composed the film’s original score. Mercury Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score, as well as new songs by New Hope Club and The Vamps and a track by Kaiser Chiefs. Quartet Records has announced a new soundtrack album for Jonathan Demme’s 1991 thriller The Silence of the Lambs starring Jodie Foster, Anthony Hopkins and Scott Glenn. The album features the remastered original score from the Academy Award-winning MGM production composed and conducted by Howard Shore (The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Hugo, The Aviator, The Departed), including previously unreleased music, as well as alternate cues. ‘Den of Thieves’ Soundtrack Released

Sony Masterworks has released a soundtrack album for the heist thriller Den of Thieves. The album features the film’s original music composed by Cliff Martinez (Drive, Traffic, Solaris, Game Night, Contagion, The Knick). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Den of Thieves is directed by Christian Gudegast and stars Gerard Butler, Pablo Schreiber, O’Shea Jackson, Jr., Evan Jones, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Cooper Anderson and Maurice Compte. The movie follows an elite crew of bank robbers who sets out to pull off the ultimate heist. The thriller was released last month by STX Entertainment and is currently playing in theaters. K.Flay’s Original Song ‘Run for Your Life’ from ‘Tomb Raider’ Reboot Released

Singer/songwriter K.Flay has written an original song for Roar Uthaug’s Tomb Raider reboot. Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the Chinese fantasy action adventure sequel Monster Hunt 2. The album features the film’s original music composed by Leon Ko (The Warlords, Perhaps Love) who previously scored the 2015 original Monster Hunt movie. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 16 and will be available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Monster Hunt 2 is directed by Raman Hui and stars Tony Leung, Bai Baihe, Jing Boran, Li Yuchun and Tony Yang. Columbia Records will release the demo version of the original song I Promise You from the family comedy Peter Rabbit. The track is performed by Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig who also co-wrote the song with director Will Gluck and will be released as a digital single tomorrow, February 16 and will be available to download on Amazon. The label has previously released the version of the song performed by James Corden last week as a single, which also featured a score suite by Dominic Lewis.
