Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the animated feature Bilal: A New Breed of Hero!. The album features the film’s original music composed by Atli Orvarsson (Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Vantage Point, Rams, The Edge of Seventeen, The Eagle) who recorded his orchestral score at Abbey Road Studios in London. The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 28, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Bilal is directed by Ayman Jamal and Khurram Alavi and features the voices Ian McShane, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Thomas Ian Nicholas and Michael Gross. The movie is inspired by the true story of Bilal Ibn Rabah, a freed slave of Ethiopian origin who fought for equality and justice.

Motown Records will release a soundtrack album for the concert movie Kevin Hart: What Now?. The album features songs performed by Hart and guest artists such as Nick Jonas, Trey Songz, Joelle James, Akon,Think, Clinton Sparks, BJ The Chicago Kid & more. Also included is Big Sean’s & 2 Chainz’s track Light It Up. The Mixtapes Presents Chocolate Droppa will be released digitally tomorrow, October 14 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Dustin O’Halloran is set to compose the music for the upcoming drama Chappaquiddick. The film is directed by John Curran (The Painted Veil, Tracks, Stone) and stars Jason Clarke, Kate Mara, Ed Helms, Bruce Dern, Jim Gaffigan and Olivia Thirlby. The movie revolves around the tragic car accident that took the life of Mary Jo Kopechne when Senator Ted Kennedy crashed his car off a one-lane bridge in the summer of 1969. Taylor Allen and Andrew Logan have written the Black List-honored screenplay. Mark Ciardi (Miracle, The Rookie, McFarland, USA) and Campbell McInnes are producing the project for Apex Entertainment. Metate Music has released a soundtrack album for the drama Shovel Buddies. The album features the film’s original music composed by Germaine Franco (Dope). Keefus Ciancia is composing the score for the new USA original series Eyewitness. The show is created by Adi Hasak (Shades of Blue, 3 Days to Kill) based on the Norwegian crime thriller Øyevitne and stars Julianne Nicholson, Gil Bellows, Warren Christie, Tattiawna Jones, Matt Murray, James Paxton and Tyler Young. The anthology series’ first season follows two innocent teenage boys who bear witness to a triple-homicide while in the midst of a romantic encounter. Hasak is also executive producing the Universal Cable production with Jarl Emsell Larsen, Scott Peters (V, The 4400), Jackie de Crinis, as well as Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight, Thirteen, Lords of Dogtown) who also directed the first two episodes. Darren Aronofsky revealed at a Master Class at the Reykjavík Film Festival that Johann Johannsson will be composing the music for the director’s next, currently untitled movie. The film stars Jennifer Lawrence, Javier Bardem, Michelle Pfeiffer, Domhnall Gleeson and Ed Harris. The drama centers on a couple whose relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their tranquil existence. Aronofsky has also written the screenplay and is producing the project with Scott Franklin and Ari Handel (Jackie). It marks Johannsson’s first collaboration with Aronofsky.
