Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is the animated feature The Addams Family directed by Conrad Vernon & Greg Tiernan and starring Oscar Isaac, Charlize Theron, Chloe Grace Moretz, Finn Wolfhard, Nick Kroll, Bette Midler and Allison Janney. The film’s original score is composed by Mychael Danna (Life of Pi, Moneyball) & Jeff Danna (The Good Dinosaur, Storks). Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score. Click here for the full album details and for more information about the original songs in the movie.

Also opening wide is the sci-fi thriller Gemini Man directed by Ang Lee and starring Will Smith, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Clive Owen and Benedict Wong. Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The LEGO Batman Movie, Genius, The Crown, Terminator Genisys) has composed the film’s original music. Paramount Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score and La-La Land Records will release a CD version next week. Check out our previous article for the full album details. Jay Roach’s ‘Bombshell’ to Feature Original Song ‘One Little Soldier’ by Regina Spektor

Regina Spektor has recorded an original song for the drama Bombshell. The track, entitled One Little Soldier, is written and performed by Spektor and will be featured in the movie directed by Jay Roach, scored by Theodore Shapiro and starring Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman, Margot Robbie, John Lithgow, Kate McKinnon, Connie Britton, Mark Duplass, Rob Delaney, Malcolm McDowell and Allison Janney. Spektor has previously written the main titles song for Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black, for which she received a Grammy Award nomination and also recorded a cover of The Beatles’ While My Guitar Gently Weeps for Laika’s Kubo and the Two Strings. ‘High Strung Free Dance’ Soundtrack Released

The Orchard has released a soundtrack album for the dance movie High Strung Free Dance. The album features the songs from the movie by artists including lead actor Thomas Doherty, Ali Tomineek, Sam Bailey, Manuel Pacific, Sofi Tyler, among others. Also included are four tracks from the movie’s original score composed by Nathan Lanier (Jem & The Holograms, Max Steel, Justin Bieber’s Believe) who previously scored the original 2016 High Strung movie. The soundtrack is now available to download and stream on Amazon Music, where you can also check out audio samples. High Strung Free Dance is co-written and directed by Michael Damian and stars Thomas Doherty, Harry Jarvis, Juliet Doherty, Jane Seymour, Ace Bhatty and Desmond Richardson. First Tracks from ‘Marriage Story’ Soundtrack Released

Lakeshore Records has released the first two tracks from the soundtrack for Noah Baumbach’s Netflix original movie Marriage Story. Academy Award winner Randy Newman (Toy Story, Avalon, Monsters, Inc., A Bug’s Life, Awakening, Seabiscuit) who previously scored Baumbach’s The Meyerowitz Stories has composed the film’s original music. Available now are the digital singles What I Love About Charlie and What I Love About Nicole. A full soundtrack album will be announced soon. Marriage Story is written and directed by Baumbach and stars Adam Driver, Scarlett Johansson, Laura Dern, Merritt Wever, Azhy Robertson, Alan Alda and Kyle Bornheimer. Read the rest of this entry »

‘Charlie’s Angels’ Soundtrack Album Announced

Republic Records will release a soundtrack album for the Charlie’s Angels reboot. The album features new songs by Ariana Grande (who is also producing the record), Normani, Nicki Minaj, Anitta, M-22, Arlissa & Kiana Ledé, Danielle Bradbery & others, as well as a remix of Donna Summer’s Bad Girls and a remix of Jack Elliott & Allyn Ferguson’s Charlie’s Angels theme. A new track How It’s Done by Kash Doll, Kim Petras, ALMA & Stefflon Do is available to download now and Don’t Call Me Angel by Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus & Lana Del Rey  has previously been released. The soundtrack will be released on November 1 and is now available for pre-order  on Amazon (CD version) and here (digital version). ‘The Bears’ Famous Invasion’ Soundtrack Relased

Milan Records/Sony Music have released a soundtrack album for the French/Italian animated feature The Bears’ Famous Invasion (La fameuse invasion des ours en Sicile). The album features the film’s original music composed by René Aubry (The Gruffalo, The Highway Rat, Under the Bombs). The soundtrack is now available to stream and download on Amazon Music, where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio samples. A CD version is also coming out overseas. The Bears’ Famous Invasion directed by Lorenzo Mattotti is based on the cult 1945 children’s book by Italian poet Dino Buzzati and follows a group of benevolent bears that descend the mountains of Sicily to bring some sense to the human world. Gabriel Yared’s ‘Judy’ Score to Be Released

Decca Classics will release a score album for the biographical drama Judy. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Gabriel Yared (The English Patient, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Cold Mountain, Betty Blue, 1408). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, October 11 and will be available to stream and download on Amazon Music. As previously reported, a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie was released last month. Judy directed by Rupert Goold and starring Renee Zellweger, Jessie Buckley, Finn Wittrock, Rufus Sewell and Michael Gambon is based on the stage play End of the Rainbow and follows Judy Garland during the last year of her life. Milan Records/Sony Music will release a soundtrack album for the animated feature A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon. The album features the film’s original score composed by Tom Howe (Early Man, Professor Marston and the Wonder Women, Charming). Also included are the original songs LAZY performed by Kylie Minogue and The Vaccines, Everything Is Better by Kieran Shudall and Heather Shudall and I Can’t Be My Old Self Forever by Jorja Smith. The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, October 18 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon is directed by Will Becher & Richard Phelan and follows Shaun and his flock after discovering a little alien with amazing powers who is stranded at the Mossy Bottom Farm, as they try and protect her from a sinister organization and attempt to send her home before an alien invasion. The album features a selection of songs from the show by artists such as Bloc Party, Miya Folick, The Strokes, Rilo Kiley, José González, Kat Cunning, BEGINNERS & others. Also included is a score suite by the drama’s composer Siddhartha Khosla (This Is Us, Runaways). The full details of the soundtrack album for the action thriller Gemini Man have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The LEGO Batman Movie, Genius, The Crown, Terminator Genisys, Home). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, October 11 by Paramount Music (click here to download the album). A CD version will be released by La-La Land Records next week.
