A soundtrack album has been released for the drama The Burial of Kojo. The album features the film’s original music composed by Blitz the Ambassador (aka Samuel “Blitz” Bazawule) who also directed the movie. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. A vinyl edition is also in the works. The Burial of Kojo is written and directed by Bazawule and chronicles the tale of two brothers through a gifted girl who travels beautiful lands that exist between life and death. The full details of the soundtrack album for Neil Marshall’s new film adaptation of Hellboy have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Benjamin Wallfisch (It, Shazam!Blade Runner 2049Hidden FiguresAnnabelle Creation). Also included is Unprotected Innocence’s Spanish version of the Scorpions’ Rock Me Like a Hurricane. The soundtrack will be released on April 5 by Sony Classical and is now available for pre-order here. Sony Classical will release a soundtrack album for the period drama The Chaperone. The album features the film’s original music composed by Marcelo Zarvos (Fences, Wonder, The Affair, Ray Donovan, The Good Shepherd, Enough Said). Also included are tracks by The Sundown Stompers, Vince Giordano & The Nighthawks, The Hot Pennies, Adam Nielsen & others. The soundtrack will be released tomorrow, March 29 and will be available to purchase here (digital version) and here (CD version). The Chaperone is directed by Michael Engler, written by Julian Fellowes and stars Elizabeth McGovern, Haley Lu Richardson, Géza Röhrig, Campbell Scott, Andrew Burnap, Victoria Hill, Miranda Otto, Robert Fairchild, Matt McGrath and Blythe Danner. ASCAP, the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, has announced today that Michael Giacchino will be honored at this year’s 34th ASCAP Screen Music Awards, which takes place on May 15 in Beverly Hills. The Academy Award-, Emmy Award- and Grammy Award-winning composer whose credits include Up, The Incredibles, Lost, Ratatouille, Star Trek, Jurassic World, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Doctor Strange, among dozens of other titles, will receive the ASCAP Henry Mancini Award. Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the HBO documentary It’s a Hard Truth Ain’t It. The album features the film’s original music composed by Andrew Hollander (Waitress, Sleepwalk with Me, My Friend Dahmer, Labor Pains). The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 5 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. It’s a Hard Truth Ain’t It is directed by Madeleine Sackler and follows 13 incarcerated men as they study filmmaking as a vehicle to explore their memories and how they ended up with decades-long sentences. Michael Yezerski (Blindspotting, Mr. InbetweenThe Devil’s Candy) is composing the original music for the upcoming crime thriller The Tax Collector. The film is written and directed by David Ayer (Suicide Squad, End of Watch, Fury, Bright) and stars Shia LaBeouf, Bobby Soto, George Lopez, Brendan Schaub and Lana Parrilla. Varese Sarabande will release the first soundtrack album for the AMC original series The Son. The album features selections of the original music from the show composed by Emmy Award nominee Nathan Barr (True Blood, The Americans, The House with a Clock in Its Walls, Hostel, Cabin Fever). Joseph Bishara is returning as the composer for the upcoming horror sequel Annabelle Comes Home. The film marks the directorial debut of Gary Dauberman (It, The Nun) who scripted the previous two Annabelle movies and stars McKenna Grace, Madison Iseman, Katie Sarife, Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga. The third installment in the Annabelle series follows the daughter of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warre (from The Conjuring franchise) who is targeted alongside her two teen babysitters by the demonic doll after they bring it home into their artifact room.
