Mateo Messina (Juno, Blockers, Butter, Barely Lethal) has signed on to score the upcoming Netflix original movie Tall Girl. The film is directed by Nzingha Stewart and stars Ava Michelle, Griffin Gluck, Luke Eisner, Sabrina Carpenter, Paris Berelc, Anjelika Washington, Steve Zahn, Angela Kinsey, Clara Wilsey and Rico Paris. The comedy centers on a six-foot-tall girl as she tries to make her way through high school feeling like an outcast. Sam Wolfson wrote the screenplay. McG (Charlie’s Angels, Terminator Salvation), Mary Viola (The Duff, I Feel Pretty, Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments) & Corey Marsh are producing the project for Wonderland. The album features music inspired by the film by the movie’s composer Salaam Remi (Sparkle, Tyson). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Deutsche Grammophon has released a soundtrack album for the 2012 Danish documentary White Black Boy (Sort hvid dreng). The album features the film’s original music composed by Jóhann Jóhannsson (Arrival, The Theory of Everything, Sicario, Prisoners). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon and will also be included on the label’s 7-CD Retrospective I set, which features six other earlier scores by the composer and is set to come out on May 10 (click here to pre-order).
