Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1975 classic Jaws directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw, Richard Dreyfuss, Murray Hamilton and Lorraine Gary. The 3-CD set features the the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award winner John Williams (Star Wars, Jurassic Park, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Schindler’s List, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone), including a remastered version of both the original score and the original soundtrack recording on the first two discs, as well as alternate and source cues, including the new track Theme From Jaws (Variation) and a never-before-heard section in Main Title and Beach Attacks, on the third disc. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the comedy Honey Don’t! co-written and directed by Ethan Coen and starring Margaret Qualley, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Evans, Charlie Day and Billy Eichner. The film’s original score is composed by Carter Burwell (Carol, Fargo, The Banshees of Inisherin, True Grit, The Blind Side, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Twilight, Anomalisa). Shadow of the City has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music, original songs written by Jack Antonoff & Coen and other songs from the movie today.
