The only new movie opening nationwide this week is the psychological thriller Joker directed by Todd Phillips and starring Joaquin Phoenix, Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, Bill Camp, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Marc Maron, and Shea Whigham. The film’s original music is composed by Hildur Gudnadottir (Chernobyl, Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Mary Magdalene). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Opening in limited release is the sci-fi drama Lucy in the Sky directed by Noah Hawley and starring Natalie Portman, Jon Hamm, Zazie Beetz, Dan Stevens, Colman Domingo, Pearl Amanda Dickson and Ellen Burstyn. ‘Last Christmas’ Soundtrack Album Announced

Sony Music has announced the details of the soundtrack album for the romantic comedy Last Christmas. The album features three Wham! songs, including the title track, as well as twelve songs from George Michael‘s solo career. Also featured is the previously unreleased song This Is How (We Want You to Get High), which was co-written and co-produced by Michael and James Jackman. The soundtrack will be released digitally and on CD on November 8 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon (CD version) and here (digital version). Soundtrack Album for Netflix’s ‘Big Mouth’ to Be Released

Composer Arturo Sandoval is reuniting with Clint Eastwood on the upcoming drama Richard Jewell. The film directed by Eastwood stars Sam Rockwell, Kathy Bates, Jon Hamm, Olivia Wilde, as well as Paul Walter Hauser in the title role. The movie tells the story of American security guard, Richard Jewell, who heroically saves thousands of lives from an exploding bomb at the 1996 Olympics, but is unjustly vilified by journalists and the press who falsely report that he was a terrorist.
