Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British limited series MaryLand created by Suranne Jones & Anne-Marie O’Connor and starring Jones herself, Eve Best, Stockard Channing, Dean Lennox Kelly, George Costigan, Hugh Quarshie and Andrew Knott. The show’s original music is composed by Samuel Sim (The Spanish Princess, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, The Bay, The Halcyon, Anne, The Long Call, Home Fires). Check out our scoring assignment announcement to learn more about the 3-part drama, which premiered in the UK last year on ITV (and ITVX) and is making its U.S. debut on PBS as part of the Masterpiece series.

Premiering on Wednesday, May 8, is the Apple TV+ original series Dark Matter created by Blake Crouch and starring Joel Edgerton, Jennifer Connelly, Alice Braga, Jimmi Simpson, Dayo Okeniyi and Oakes Fegley. Jason Hill (Mindhunter, City on Fire,  Them: The Scare, The Confession Killer, Extrapolations, Love, Death & Robots, Voir) has composed the show’s original music. ‘The Glassworker’ Soundtrack Released

EMI Pakistan has released a soundtrack album for the animated feature The Glassworker. The album features the film’s original music composed by Carmine Diflorio and Usman Riaz (who also directed the movie). The Glassworker is directed by Riaz and features (in its English language version) the voices of Art Malik, Sacha Dhawan, Tony Jayawardena, Anjli Mohindra, Teresa Gallagher, Maya Soraya, Mina Anwar and Sham Ali. The Mano Animation Studios production tells the story of a father and son running a glass workshop who find their lives upended by an impending war in which they want no part and whose relationship gets tested by the arrival an army colonel and his young, talented violinist daughter in their town. Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the AMC original series Parish. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Wow Jones & JIMIJAME$. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 5 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Parish is developed by Danny Brocklehurst & Sunu Gonera based on the UK series The Driver created by Brocklehurst & Jim Poyser and stars Giancarlo Esposito, Zackary Momoh, Paula Malcomson, Skeet Ulrich, Bonnie Mbuli, Ivan Mbakop, Dax Rey, Arica Himmel and Bradley Whitford. The 6-part crime thriller revolves around a family man and owner of a luxury car service in New Orleans who – after his son is violently murdered – reunites with an old friend from his days as a wheelman and sends him on a collision course with a violent criminal syndicate. Arista Records has released a second soundtrack album for the romantic comedy drama The Idea of You. The album features the content of the original soundtrack (available now on all major digital music platforms, on CD and vinyl), as well as four previously unreleased “live” versions of the songs Taste, Guard Down, Closer and I Got You co-written by Savan Kotecha (who serves as the project’s executive music producer) and performed by the fictional boy band August Moon. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the action comedy The Fall Guy directed by David Leitch and starring Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt, Winston Duke, Hannah Waddingham, Stephanie Hsu and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. The film’s original music is composed by Dominic Lewis (Bullet Train, Peter Rabbit, The Man in the High Castle, Violent Night, Spirited, Money Monster). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score (and songs), as well as tracks performed by Yungblud & Blake Shelton today. Also opening wide is the supernatural horror movie Tarot writtan and directed by Spenser Cohen & Anna Halberg and starring Harriet Slater, Jacob Batalon, Adain Bradley and Avantika. Joseph Bishara (The Conjuring, Malignant, Insidious, The Unholy, The Curse of La Llorona, Annabelle) has composed the film’s original music. Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Singer/songwriter, record producer and composer Andrew Wyatt is making his solo feature scoring debut on the upcoming drama The Last Showgirl. The film is directed by Gia Coppola (Palo Alto, Mainstream) and stars Pamela Anderson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Dave Bautista, Kiernan Shipka, Brenda Song and Billie Lourd. The movie follows a seasoned showgirl who must plan for her future when her show abruptly closes after a 30-year run and strives to repair a strained relationship with her estranged daughter. ‘Star Wars Lofi’ Digital Album Collection Announced

Disney Music has announced the Star Wars Lofi digital music collection. The first volume features lofi mixes crafted by composer Kevin Kiner (Star Wars: The Bad Batch & The Clone Wars, Peaceamaker, Doom Patrol, Narcos: Mexico), along with songwriters and producers Chantry Johnson, Lucky West, and Nick Pingree. Among the titles featured are tracks from Ludwig Göransson’s The Mandalorian, Nichols Britell’s Andor and Kiner’s own scores from Star Wars Rebels and Ahsoka. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Paul Leonard-Morgan (Limitless, Dredd, Fellow Travelers, Dynasty, Tales from the Loop, Boston Strangler, Wormwood). ‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga’ Soundtrack Album Details

WaterTower Music has announced the details of the soundtrack album for George Miller’s post-apocalyptic action adventure Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. The album features the film’s original music composed by Tom Holkenborg (Mad Max: Fury Road, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Sonic the Hedgehog, Deadpool, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, Alita: Battle Angel, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice). The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 17 (visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download). Mutant will release CD and vinyl editions, with pre-orders beginning on May 24 (visit Amazon to pre-order). As previously reported, a first track (Dementus Is Gaining) is already available to stream/download now. Furiosa is co-written and directed by Miller and stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Burke and Alyla Browne. The movie follows a young Furiosa who is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde and must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.
