The show is written by author Sophia Al-Maria (The Girl Who Fell to Earth) based on Anais Nin’s collection of erotic short stories and stars Juno Temple, Yumna Marwan, Raphael Acloque, Hugh Skinner, Nina Sosanya, Rossy De Palma David Costabile, Amy Landecker and Matt Lauria. The 6-parter is set in Tangier in 1955, in one of the last outposts of colonial decadence, and follows troubled American debutante as she faces a culture shock. Premiering on Friday, February 28 is the Netflix original film All the Bright Places directed by Brett Haley and starring Elle Fanning, Justice Smith, Luke Wilson, Alexandra Shipp, Keegan-Michael Key, Kelli O’Hara, Felix Mallard, Virginia Gardner, Lamar Johnson and Sofia Hasmi. The film’s original music is composed by Keegan DeWitt (Hearts Beat LoudDivorceThe HeroI’ll See You in My DreamsGeminiHer Smell). Also premiering in the U.S. on Friday is the Spanish historical drama The Endless Trench (La trinchera infinita) directed by Jon Garaño, Aitor Arregi & Jose Mari Goenaga and starring Antonio de la Torre and Belén Cuesta. Pascal Gaigne (The Giant, The Olive Tree, Remember Me) has composed the film’s original music. Tamar-kali (Mudbound, Come Sunday) has composed the original music for the upcoming documentary John Lewis: Good Trouble. The film is directed by Dawn Porter (Trapped, Gideon’s Army) and focuses on the life and career of Rep. John Lewis. The movie chronicles Lewis’ 60-plus years of social activism and legislative action on civil rights, voting rights, gun control, health-care reform and immigration. Porter is also producing the CNN Films, AGC Studios and TIME Studios production with Laura Michalchyshyn (Trailer Park Boys) for Trilogy Films, alongside Erika Alexander & Ben Arnon for Color Farm Media. The album features the film’s original music composed by Armand Amar (The ConcertThe SourceMia and the White LionA Bag of MarblesBelle & Sebastian, 1,000 Times Good Night). Wolf Walk is directed by Jean-Michel Bertrand and f0llows the filmmaker as he observes a young gray wolf who has just left the pack to create his own territory, find a young female and start a family. WaterTower Records has released the cover version of Guns N’ Roses’ Sweet Child O’ Mine by Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones, Iron Man, Pacific Rim, Jack Ryan) from the third season of the HBO original series Westworld. Opening in most theaters is the adventure drama The Call of the Wild directed by Chris Sanders and starring Harrison Ford, Dan Stevens, Omar Sy, Karen Gillan, Bradley Whitford and Colin Woodel. BMG has released a score album for the documentary David Crosby: Remember My Name. The album features the film’s original music composed by Marcus Eaton and Bill Laurance. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon Music, where you can also listen to audio clips. David Crosby: Remember My Name is directed by A.J. Eaton and produced by Cameron Crowe. The movie follows the singer/songwriter as he confronts mortality and assesses all the damage of earlier days. Antonio Sanchez has signed on to score the upcoming drama Harami: The Bastard. The film is co-written directed by Shyam Madiraju (Eden) and stars Emraan Hashmi Emraan Hashmi and Subrat Dutta. The movie revolves around an orphan teenage pickpocket working the trains of Mumbai along with his gang whose life takes a turn when he meets the daughter of one of his victims who committed suicide after being robbed. Mohit Rastogi, Parvesh Kumar and Dori Zuckerman are producing the Gobsmack Entertainment production.The project marks the jazz drummer/composer’s second narrative feature scoring assignment following Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), for which he received a Golden Globe Awards nomination and a Grammy Award. Walt Disney Records has released the first track from the soundtrack for the seventh and final season of the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Now available as a digital single is the Bad Batch Theme written by the show’s composer Kevin Kiner (Star Wars Rebels, Narcos: Mexico, Doom Patrol, CSI: MiamiHell on Wheels). LilliPilli IP has released a soundtrack album for the Australian mystery drama Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears. The album features the film’s original music composed by Greg J Walker (Newton’s Law) who has previously scored all episodes of the Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries TV series.  The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears is directed by Tony Tilse and stars Essie Davis in the title role, alongside Nathan Page, Miriam Margolyes, Ashleigh Cummings, Hugo Johnstone-Burt, Rupert Penry-Jones, Daniel Lapaine and Jacqueline McKenzie. The movie based on the TV series, which premiered between 2015 and 2018 and the Phryne Fisher novels by Kerry Greenwood, will be released in Australian theaters on February 27.
