Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the post-apocalyptic action adventure Furiosa: A Mad Max Story co-written and directed by George Miller and starring Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Burke and Alyla Browne. The film’s original music is composed by Tom Holkenborg (Mad Max: Fury Road, Sonic the Hedgehog, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, Deadpool, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Alita: Battle Angel). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last Friday. Also opening wide is the animated feature The Garfield Movie directed by Mark Dindal and starring Chris Pratt, Samuel L. Jackson, Hannah Waddingham, Ving Rhames, Nicholas Hoult, Cecily Strong, Harvey Guillén, Brett Goldstein and Bowen Yang. John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, Elf, Iron Man 2, The Jungle Book) has composed the film’s original score. Michael Hodges serves as the project’s executive music producer and co-wrote most of the original songs. Dragon’s Domain Records has announced a new soundtrack album featuring the world premiere release of four previously unreleased scores composed by David Michael Frank (Above the Law, Code of Silence, Extreme Justice, The Mole). The 2-CD includes the composer’s score from the 1992 erotic thriller Poison Ivy directed by Katt Shea and starring Drew Barrymore, Sara Gilbert, Tom Skerritt & Cheryl Ladd and his music for the 1991 comedy Suburban Commando directed by Burt Kennedy and starring Hulk Hogan, Christopher Lloyd, Shelley Duvall & Larry Miller. Also included are Frank’s scores from Sollace Mitchell’s 1988 erotic thriller Call Me starring Patricia Charbonneau, Stephen McHattie & Boyd Gaines and Mark W. Travis’ 1991 comedy Going Under starring Bill Pullman, Wendy Schaal & Ned Beatty. ‘Predator 2’ Digital Soundtrack Album Released

Hollywood Records has released a digital version of the original soundtrack album for the 1990 sci-fi horror sequel Predator 2 directed by Stephen Hopkins and starring Danny Glover, Gary Busey, Ruben Blades, Bill Paxton, María Conchita Alonso and Kevin Peter Hall. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future, Avengers: Endgame, Forrest Gump, The Polar Express, Captain America: The First Avenger, Death Becomes Her, Cast Away, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?). The film written and directed by Rian Johnson will star Daniel Craig who is reprising his role of Benoit Blanc from the first two movies. No other casting announcements have been made yet. The movie follows two Pittsburgh police partners and best friends who are called to a domestic violence dispute on the titular street that quickly escalates to a violent confrontation as one of them accidentally shoots and kills the other.
