CTV Records, Kepler Music and The Beatfreak Studio have released a soundtrack album for the Dutch drama Buladó. The album features the film’s original music composed by Christiaan Verbeek (Helium, Boy Meets Gun). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio clips. Buladó is co-written and directed by Éche Janga and stars Tiara Richards, Everon Jackson Hooi and Felix de Rooy. The movie, which has been selected as the Netherlands’ entry for International Feature Film category at next year’s Academy Awards, is set in the countryside of Curaçao and tells the story of a headstrong 11-year-old girl who is determined to find her own path into adulthood and is torn between her agnostic father and her spiritual grandfather. Premiering today is the Netflix original film Christmas on the Square directed by Debbie Allen and starring Dolly Parton, Christine Baranski, Treat Williams, Jeanine Mason, Josh Segarra, Mary Lane Haskell and Jenifer Lewis. The film’s original music is composed by Dolly Parton (who wrote 14 original songs for the project) and conducted by Larry Blank. The holiday musical, which follows a small town “Scrooge” as she’s visited by a rhinestone-bedazzled angel who guides her on a musical journey of redemption, is now available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
Premiering tomorrow, November 23, is the FX and BBC limited series Black Narcissus developed by Amanda Coe based on the novel of the same title by Rumer Godden and starring Gemma Arterton, Alessandro Nivola, Diana Rigg, Aisling Franciosi, Jim Broadbent, Rosie Cavaliero, Patsy Ferran, Karen Bryson, Nila Aalia, Kulvinder Ghir, Chaneil Kular, Gina McKee, Soumil Malla, Dipika Kunwar,and Gianni Gonsalves. Brookhaven has released a soundtrack album for the HBO docu-series Murder on Middle Beach. The album features the show’s original music composed by James Lavino (Wiener-Dog, Burning Blue, Murder in the Bayou, Never Here). Murder on Middle Beach is directed by Madison Hamburg and examines the filmmaker’s complicated journey to solve an unspeakable crime and absolve the people he loves while seeking out answers within his own fractured family and community. The 4-parter revolves around the case of Madison’s mother, Barbara Hamburg, who was brutally murdered in 2010 near her home in the upper-middle class enclave of Madison, Connecticut. Michael Giacchino to Return for ‘Spider-Man: Far from Home’ Sequel

Michael Giacchino has confirmed that he will be returning as the composer for the third installment in the Spider-Man series as part of Marvel Studios’ cinematic universe. The composer has previously scored the first two films, Spider-Man: Homecoming and last year’s Spider-Man: Far from Home. Jon Watts is returning to direct the movie, as are cast members Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon and Marisa Tomei. ‘G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero’ Soundtrack Album Released

Hasbro has released the first-ever score album for the animated series G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero developed by Ron Friedman and starring Michael Bell, Arthur Burghardt, Corey Burton, William Callaway, Brian Cummings, Ed Gilbert and Chris Latta. The album features selections of the score from the first 5-part mini-series, which premiered in 1983, and Season 1 of the animated series, which made its debut in 1985, including over 40 minutes of unreleased music from the original composers Robert J. Walsh (Revenge of the Ninjas, My Little Pony: The Movie) and Johnny Douglas (The Transformers, The Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man). Also included is an instrumental version of the show’s iconic theme song. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here and other digital music stores. Opening in theaters nationwide today is the Chinese action adventure Vanguard co-written and directed by Stanley Tong and starring Jackie Chan, Yang Yang, Miya Muqi, Lun Ai, Ruohan Xu and Zhengting Zhu. The film’s original music is composed by Nathan Wang (She’s All That, The Game Plan, Playing with Fire, You Again, Chinese Zodiac). No word on a soundtrack release. The movie, which centers on a covert security company that is the last hope of survival for an accountant after he is targeted by the world’s deadliest mercenary organization, opened in Chinese theaters earlier this year and is being distributed in the U.S. by Gravitas Ventures.
Also opening in theaters nationwide is the drama The Last Vermeer directed by Dan Friedkin and starring Guy Pearce, Claes Bang, Vicky Krieps, August Diehl, Roland Møller, Olivia Grant, Adrian Scarborough and Andrew Havill. Johan Söderqvist (Let the Right One In, Kon-Tiki, The Bridge, Things We Lost in the Fire, After the Wedding) has composed the film’s original music. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Walt Disney Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the Disney Channel franchise Descendants. The album features selections of the original score from all three movies in the series composed by David Lawrence (High School Musical, American Pie, Van Wilder, Julie and the Phantoms, Teen Beach Movie, Company Man). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and all other major digital music stores. The label has previously released soundtracks featuring the songs from the original 2015 Descendants film, 2017’s Descendants 2 and 2019’s Descendants 3. The albums for the first and third movie also featured a score suite by Lawrence.
