Plaza Mayor Company will release a soundtrack album for the action thriller Insight. The album features the film’s original music composed by Sid De La Cruz (Hell on the Border, WEAPONiZED, Checkmate, SWAT: Unit 887, Atone). The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 12, 2021 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Insight is directed by Livi & Ken Zheng and starring Ken Zheng himself, Madeline Zima, Sean Patrick Flanery, John Savage, Adam Huss, Tony Todd and Keith David. The movie follows a counter-terrorism agent who blends his skills as a martial artist and clairvoyant to bring the world’s most nefarious individuals to justice as he is forced to make an unexpected detour to Los Angeles upon receipt of the news of a cover up surrounding his brother’s alleged suicide. Keegan DeWitt (Hearts Beat Loud, A Teacher, Gemini, I’ll See You in My Dreams, Divorce, Her Smell, The Hero) has been tapped to score the upcoming AMC original series Kevin Can F**k Himself. The show is created by Valerie Armstrong and stars Annie Murphy, Eric Petersen, Mary Hollis Inboden, Raymond Lee, Brian Howe and Alex Bonifer. The comedy tells the story of a woman who keeps playing a perfect housewife until one day she realizes what she wants: to kill her husband. Craig DiGregorio (Kevin (Probably) Saves the World, Ash vs Evil Dead) serves as the project’s showrunner and is also executive producing the AMC Studios production with Armstrong and Rashida Jones & Will McCormack (Celeste and Jesse Forever). Air-Edel Records has announced a soundtrack album for the HBO Europe original series Tuff Money (Bani Negri). The album features selections of the original music from the show composed by Zero VU (The Drifters, The Cockfields). The soundtrack will be released digitally this coming Friday, February 26. and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music stores. Tuff Money is written and directed by Daniel Sandu and stars Alexandru Papadopol, Cristian Bota and Medeea Marinescu. The 6-part crime caper comedy revolves around two stoplight techs who joke about manipulating traffic to rob a bank’s armored van and end up having to go through with it. Farrow directed by Kirby Dick & Amy Ziering about the accusation of sexual abuse against Woody Allen involving his 7-year-old daughter with Mia Farrow. The show’s original music is composed by Michael Abels (Get Out, Us, Bad Education, All Day and a Night, See You Yesterday). Premiering in the U.S. tomorrow, February 22, is the HBO Europe original series Beartown (Björnstad) created by Anders Weidemann, Antonia Pyk & Linn Gottfridsson based on the Fredrik Backman’s novel of the same title and starring Ulf Stenberg and Aliette Opheim. Johan Testad (The Sandhamn Murders, Inkognito, Drifters) has composed the show’s original music. Quartet Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1968 Italian crime drama Bandits in Rome (Roma come Chicago) directed by Alberto De Martino, produced by Dino de Laurentiis and starring John Cassavetes, Gabriele Ferzetti, Anita Sanders and Nikos Kourkoulos. The album features the original music from the Paramount Pictures release composed by Ennio Morricone (The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Once Upon a Time in the West, Cinema Paradiso, The Mission, The Hateful Eight) & Bruno Nicolai (The Mercenary, Operation Kid Brother, Shanghai Joe, Django Shoots First). The film is directed by David Tryhorn & Ben Nicholas and tells the story of iconic footballer Pelé, his quest for perfection and the mythical status he attained. The movie, which features interviews with Pelé himself, Zagallo, Rivellino, Juca Kfouri & Gilberto Gil, looks back at the extraordinary 12-year period in which the football player, the only man to win three World Cup titles, went from young superstar in 1958 to national hero in 1970. Opening in theaters nationwide today following an IMAX-exclusive release over the last three weeks is the drama Nomadland written and directed by Chloe Zhao and starring Frances McDormand, David Strathairn, Linda May, Swankie and Bob Wells. The film features (pre-existing) compositions by Ludovico Einaudi (The Intouchables, The Father, Samba). Decca Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music, as well as tracks by Ólafur Arnalds, Nat King Cole, Cat Clifford, Paul Winer, Donnie Miller & others.
