Zoë Poledouris & Angel Roché Jr. are teaming up to score the upcoming animated comedy Pierre the Pigeon-Hawk. The film marks the directorial debut of producer John D. Eraklis (Igor) and features the voices of will.i.am, Snoop Dogg, Jennifer Hudson, Whoopi Goldberg, Howie Mandel, Kenan Thompson, Jennifer Coolidge, Luis Guzman, Domenick Lombardozzi, Paul Blackthorne, Jamal Trulove, Evan Ross and Ashley Simpson. The movie is set in New York City and follows the title character who was born out of forbidden love between a hawk and a pigeon and – rejected by both communities – sets out on an adventure to find himself and makes some new friends along the way. Soundtrack Album for MagentaTV’s ‘Wild Republic’ to Be Released

Needlewood Records will release a soundtrack album for the German TV series Wild Republic. The album features the show’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Volker Bertelmann (aka Hauschka) (Lion, Your Honor, Hotel Mumbai, Adrift, Ammonite, The Old Guard, Patrick Melrose). The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 15 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out the track list. Wild Republic is created by Jan Martin Scharf, Arne Nolting & Klaus Wolfertstetter and stars Emma Drogunova, Merlin Rose, Aaron Altaras, Béla Gabor Lenz and Maria Dragus. The 8-part drama directed by Markus Goller & Lennart Ruff follows a group of young offenders who take refuge in the high Alps after a tragic incident during their resocialization project and form a new society – according to their own laws. Randy Edelman’s ‘Ghostbusters II’ Score to Be Released

Sony Masterworks will release the first-ever score album for the 1989 comedy Ghostbusters II directed by Ivan Reitman and starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Sigourney Weaver, Harold Ramis, Rick Moranis, Ernie Hudson and Annie Potts. The album features the film’s original score by Randy Edelman (Dragonheart, xXx, Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story, Kindergarten Cop, While You Were Sleeping, Gettysburg). No release date has been confirmed yet, but the soundtrack is currently listed to be released on June 11, 2021 in various international music stores. Check back on this page for the pre-order links. MCA Records has previously released the original 1989 soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie and Sony Classical has released a new album featuring Elmer Bernstein’s score from the original Ghostbusters film in 2019. Emile Mosseri (Minari, The Last Black Man in San Francisco, Kajillionaire, Homecoming) has revealed in a recent interview with Next Best Picture that he is set to compose the music for actor Jesse Eisenberg’s directorial debut When You Finish Saving the World. The film is written and directed by Eisenberg and stars Julianne Moore, Finn Wolfhard, Alisha Boe and Billy Bryk. The comedy drama is based on Eisenberg’s Audible project of the same title, which was told from the perspective of three family members, at different stages of their lives. Tom Howe (A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon, Early Man, Professor Marston & the Wonder Women, Charming) has been tapped to score the upcoming animated feature The Amazing Maurice. The film is directed by Toby Genkel (All Creatures Big And Small, Two by Two: Overboard!), co-directed by Florian Westermann and features the voices of Hugh Laurie, Emilia Clarke, Himesh Patel, David Thewlis, Gemma Arterton and Hugh Bonneville. The movie is based on Terry Pratchett’s Discworld novel Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents and a centers on streetwise cat who leads a band of educated ratty friends (and a dumb-looking kid) on a nice little earner. Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1991 action comedy Company Business written and directed by Nicholas Meyer and starring Gene Hackman and Mikhail Baryshnikov. The 2-CD set features the original score from the MGM production composed and conducted by Michael Kamen (Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, X-Men, Mr. Holland’s Opus, Band of Brothers, Brazil), including the content of the original 1991 soundtrack on the first disc and the score in film order (including around 10 minutes of previously unreleased music) on the second disc.
