Filmtrax/Atlantic Screen Music has released a soundtrack album for the British/German romantic comedy Virginia Woolf’s Night & Day. The album features the film’s original music composed by Simon Goff (The Gold, The Cage, Waves, We Have Never Been Modern). Virginia Woolf’s Night & Day is directed by Tina Gharavi and stars Haley Bennett, Elyas M’Barek, Lily Allen, Jack Whitehall, Jennifer Saunders and Timothy Spall. The movie based on Virginia Woolf’s novel of the same title is set against the backdrop of early 20th century London and crumbling Edwardian patriarchal attitudes and folllows a passionate astronomer who does everything she can to avoid romantic love and marriage. The comedy premiered at this year’s SXSW London and is being released in UK theaters today before arriving in German theaters on July 9. Quiver Distribution has recently picked up domestic distribution rights for a release in the U.S. this fall.
