Opening in theaters nationwide today is the drama Cry Macho directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Eastwood himself, Eduardo Minett, Natalia Traven, Fernanda Urrejola, Dwight Yoakam and Horacio Garcia-Rojas. The film’s original music is composed by Mark Mancina (Moana, Tarzan, Bad Boys, Speed,  Twister, August Rush, Training Day). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as an original song performed by Will Banister last week. Also opening wide is the action thriller Copshop directed by Joe Carnahan and starring Gerard Butler, Frank Grillo, Alexis Louder and Toby Huss. Clinton Shorter (District 9, The Expanse,  2 Guns, Contraband, Pompeii, Boss Level) has composed the film’s original music. Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last Friday. ‘Joe Bell’ Soundtrack Album Released

Lakeshore Records and Endeavor Content have released a soundtrack album for the drama Joe Bell. The album features the film’s original music composed by Antonio Pinto (City of God,, Nine Days, McFarland, USA, Lord of War, Amy, The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, The Mosquito Coast). Also included are the songs from the movie by Daniel Tashian and Andy LeMaster. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio clips. Joe Bell is directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green and stars  Mark Wahlberg, Reid Mille, Connie Britton and Gary Sinise. The movie tells the true story of and Oregonian father who embarks on a self-reflective walk across America with his son, with the hope to raise awareness about the effects of bullying on LGBTQ youth. Christophe Beck to Score Marvel’s ‘Hawkeye’ TV Series

Christophe Beck (Frozen, Edge of Tomorrow, The Hangover, The Muppets, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) has been tapped to score Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ limited series Hawkeye. The show is helmed by Rhys Thomas (Staten Island Summer) & directing duo Bert and Bertie (Troop Zero) and stars Jeremy Renner in the title role, alongside Hailee Steinfeld, Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James and Alaqua Cox. The series is set in post-blip New York City and follows former Avenger Clint Barton who is forced together with Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a Super Hero, when a presence from Barton’s past appears. Soundtrack Album for Starz’s ‘Blindspotting’ TV Series Released

Lionsgate Records has released a soundtrack album for the Starz original series Blindspotting. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s first season composed by Ambrose Akinmusire and Michael Yezerski (The Tax Collector, The Devil’s Candy, Feel the Beat, The Vigil) who previously scored the 2018 feature of the same title, intermixed with spoken word elements by the cast, including Jasmine Cephas-Jones, Benjamin Earl Turner and Rafael Casal. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Blindspotting is created by Casal & Daveed Diggs and also stars Candace Nicholas-Lippman, Atticus Woodward, Jaylen Barron and Helen Hunt. The Lionsgate Television production centers on the character of Ashley, who is nipping at the heels of a middle class life in Oakland until her partner of twelve years and father of their son is suddenly incarcerated. ‘The Card Counter’ Score Album Released

Back Lot Music has released a new soundtrack album for Paul Schrader’s dramatic thriller The Card Counter . The album features the film’s original score composed by Robert Levon Been (of the rock band Black Rebel Motorcycle Club) & Giancarlo Vulcano (Briarpatch, Great News, Modern Persuasion). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. BMG has previously released a separate soundtrack featuring Levon Been’s original songs from the movie. The Card Counter is written and directed by Schrader and stars Oscar Isaac, Tye Sheridan, Tiffany Haddish and Willem Dafoe. The movie follows a man whose spartan existence on the casino trail is shattered when he is approached by a vulnerable and angry young man seeking help to execute his plan for revenge on a military colonel. The album features the film’s original music composed by Roger Suen (Gook, Ms. Purple, Spy Intervention, A Kid from Coney Island). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music platforms. Blue Bayou is written and directed by Justin Chon and stars Chon himself, alongside Alicia Vikander, Mark O’Brien, Linh Dan Pham and Emory Cohen. The movie tells the story of a Korean adoptee raised in a small town in the Louisiana bayou whomust confront the ghosts of his past when he discovers that he could be deported from the only country he has ever called home. Ice Chest Musick has released a new soundtrack EP for the Netflix original series Sex Education. The 5-track EP features three new songs from the third season of the show written and performed by Ezra Furman (and produced by series composer Oli Julian), as well as two tracks by Furman and his former band The Harpoons. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Also listen to all five tracks below. Bella Union has previously released a full soundtrack album featuring Furman’s songs from the first seasons. ‘The Eyes of Tammy Faye’ Soundtrack Album Details

Hollywood Records will release a soundtrack album for the drama The Eyes of Tammy Faye. The album features the songs from the movie performed by lead actress Jessica Chastain. Also included is Don’t Give Up (On the Brink of a Miracle) performed by the title character’s daughter Tammy Sue Bakker, as well as a score suite by the film’s composer Theodore Shapiro. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, September 17 and will be available to stream/download here. As reported earlier today, the label will also release a separate soundtrack featuring Shapiro’s score on the same day. The Eyes of Tammy Faye is directed by Michael Showalter and also stars Andrew Garfield, Cherry Jones, Louis Cancelmi, Fredric Lehne,  Mark Wystrach, Sam Jaeger, Gabriel Olds and Vincent D’Onofrio. Soundtrack Album for Apple TV+’s ‘Foundation’ to Be Released

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the Apple TV+ original series Foundation. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Emmy Award winner Bear McCreary (Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Outlander, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Battlestar Galactica, Happy Death Day, Colossal) . The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, September 24 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon and other digital music services. Foundation is developed by David S. Goyer & Josh Friedman based on Isaac Asimov’s sci-fi novels and stars Jared Harris, Lee Pace, Lou Llobell, Leah Harvey, Terrence Mann, Laura Birn, Cassian Bilton and Alfred Enoch. The full details of the soundtrack album for the sixth episode of Marvel Studios’ Disney+ animated series What If…? have been revealed. The album features the original music from the sixth episode (What If… Killmonger Rescued Tony Stark?) of the show composed by Emmy Award winner Laura Karpman (Lovecraft Country, Underground, Set It Up, Paris Can Wait, Step, Why We Hate, Step Sisters). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 17 by Marvel Music & Hollywood Records and will be available to stream/download here. Karpman’s scores from Episode 1, Episode 2, Episode 3, Episode 4 and Episode 5 have been released over the last couple of weeks and three more soundtracks featuring the composer’s music from Episodes 7, 8 & 9 will be coming out in the coming weeks.
