Varese Sarabande will release a new soundtrack album for the Starz original series Flesh and Bone. The album features the four-movement original Dakini Ballet composed by Adam Crystal. The composer wrote the music for the 13-minute original ballet created for the show by creator Moira Walley-Beckett and choreographer Ethan Stiefel. The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 15, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. As previously reported, the label has also released a separate soundtrack featuring the show’s original score composed by Dave Porter. Flesh and Bone starring Sarah Hay, Irina Dvorovenko, Sascha Radetsky, Raychel Diane Weiner, Emily Tyra and Damon Herriman centers on a dancer who joins a company in New York City and soon finds herself immersed in the tough and often cutthroat world of professional ballet.

‘Person of Interest’ Season 3 & 4 Soundtrack Details
Varese Sarabande has announced the details of the third soundtrack album for the CBS drama Person of Interest. The album features selections of original music from the show’s third and fourth season composed by Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones, Pacific Rim, Clash of the Titans, Iron Man, The Strain). The soundtrack will be released The soundtrack will be released on February 12, 2016 (pushed back two weeks from its original release date) and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has previously released soundtrack albums featuring the composer’s score from the first and second season of the series. Person of Interest created by Jonathan Nolan and starring Jim Caviezel, Michael Emerson, Taraji P. Henson, Kevin Chapman, Sarah Shahi & Amy Acker will return for a fifth and likely final season later this year.

Premiering on Tuesday, January 12, is the new Freeform/ABC Family original series Shadowhunters based on the young adult fantasy book series The Mortal Instruments and starring Katherine McNamara, Dominic Sherwood, Alberto Rosende, Emeraude Toubia, Matthew Daddario, Isaiah Mustafa, David Castro and Harry Shum Jr. The show’s original music is composed by Ben Decter (CSI: Cyber, Hostages, Extant). Premiering on Wednesday, January 13, is the new Fox drama Second Chance created by Rand Ravich, produced by Howard Gordon and starring Rob Kazinsky, Dilshad Vadsaria, Adhir Kalyan, Tim DeKay and Ciara Bravo. John Paesano (Daredevil, The Maze Runner, Where the Game Stands Tall, Dragons: Riders of Berk) is composing the show’s original music. Joshua Funk Scoring TV Land’s ‘Teachers’
Joshua Funk is scoring the upcoming TV Land original series Teachers. The show is based on the web series of the same title and stars the improv group the Katydids – Caitlin Barlow, Katy Colloton, Cate Freedman, Kate Lambert, Katie O’Brien and Katie Thomas. The comedy follows six elementary school teachers who try to mold young minds, even though they don’t really seem to have their own lives together at all. Alison Brie (Community) is executive producing the project with showrunners Ian Roberts & Jay Martel (Get Hard, Key and Peele), as well as Matt Miller. Funk is best known for composing the music for Comedy Central’s Key and Peele, for which he received an Emmy Award nomination in 2014.
Jeff Russo to Score HBO’s ‘Crime’ and ‘Behold My Heart’
Jeff Russo is set to score the upcoming HBO original miniseries Crime. The show is written by Richard Price (Ransom, Shaft, Sea of Love) based on the British TV series Criminal Justice and stars John Turturro, Riz Ahmed, Michael Kenneth Williams, Amara Karan, Jeannie Berlin, Glenne Headly, Bill Camp, Payman Moaadi and Poorna Jagannathan. The show follows an ambulance-chasing New York City attorney who gets in over his head when he takes on the case of a Pakistani man accused of murdering a girl on the Upper West Side. Steve Zaillian (Schindler’s List, Moneyball, Searching for Bobby Fischer) is executive producing the project with Price, Criminal Justice creator Peter Moffat and Jane Tranter (Rome, DaVinci’s Demons).
BBC’s ‘Close to the Enemy’ to Feature Music by Adrian Johnston
Adrian Johnston has been tapped to score the upcoming BBC original mini-series Close to the Enemy. The 6-parter is created by Stephen Poliakoff and stars Jim Sturgess, Freddie Highmore, Charlotte Riley, Alfie Allen, Charity Wakefield, Angela Bassett and Alfred Molina. The series is set during World War II and follows a British intelligence officer whose final task for the Army is to convince a captured German scientis to hand over cutting-edge military technology crucial to national security – the jet engine. Poliakoff has written and directed all episodes. Helen Flint (Longford), Hilary Bevan Jones (Pirate Radio) and Colin Callender (Wolf Hall) are producing the project.
Marco Beltrami & Dennis Smith to Score Fox’s ‘Lucifer’
Marco Beltrami and Dennis Smith are composing the music for the new Fox drama Lucifer. The show is based on the DC Comics characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth & Mike Dringenberg and stars Tom Ellis, Lauren German, Rachael Harris, DB Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro and Scarlett Estevez. The series centers around the Lord of Hell as he resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for the shimmering insanity of Los Angeles, where he opens an exclusive piano bar called Lux and helps the LAPD punish criminals. Tom Kapinos (Californication) wrote and executive produced the pilot episode of the Warner Bros. Television production.
Varese Sarabande to Release ‘House of Cards’ Season 4 Soundtrack & ‘Jesse Stone’ Soundtrack Collection
Varese Sarabande will release a new soundtrack album for the Netflix original series House of Cards starring Kevin Spacey & Robin Wright. The album features selections from the original music from the fourth season composed by Emmy Award winner Jeff Beal (Monk, Rome, Carnivale, Ugly Betty, Appaloosa). The 2-CD set will be released on March 4, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. In addition, the label will also release a new soundtrack album for the long-running movie series Jesse Stone. Beal has composed the music for all 10 installments in series starring Tom Selleck between 2005 and 2015. Jesse Stone – The Ultimate Collection will be released on February 26, 2016 and is now available for pre-order here.
NBC’s ‘Shades of Blue’ to Feature Music by Wendy Melvoin & Jeff Russo
Wendy Melvoin and Jeff Russo are scoring the new NBC drama Shades of Blue. The show is created by Adi Hasak (3 Days to Kill, From Paris with Love) and stars Jennifer Lopez, Ray Liotta, Drea de Matteo, Warren Kole, Dayo Okeniyi, Vincent Laresca, Hampton Fluker and Sarah Jeffery. The series follows a female NYPD detective-turned-informant who must carefully straddle the line between work and family. Hasak and Lopez are also executive producing the Universal Television production with Jack Orman (ER), Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas (Maid in Manhattan, Mona Lisa Smile), Benny Medina (The Fosters), Ryan Seacrest and Nina Wass. Barry Levinson (Rain Man, Sleepers) has directed the first two episodes.
