Hollywood Records has released the first three songs from Season 2 of the ABC musical comedy Galavant. The songs are written by Academy Award winner Alan Menken (Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Enchanted) and Glenn Slater and are performed by the series’ cast. The new songs include the track A New Season, which is available to download on Amazon and can be checked out after the jump, as well as the track World’s Best Kiss, which can be downloaded here. Also available now is the song Off with His Shirt, which features guest star Kyle Minogue and is available to download on Amazon. A full soundtrack featuring the songs from the second season will be released later this year. The label has previously released a soundtrack featuring the music from the first season.

Soundtrack Album Details for WGN America’s ‘Manhattan’
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the WGN America original series Manhattan. The album features selections from the original music from the show’s first season composed by Sigur Rós front man Jónsi & Alex Somers. Also included is music from the drama’s second season composed by Jeff Russo (Fargo) and Zoe Keating. The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 8, 2016 and physically on January 29. Manhattan is created by Sam Shaw and stars John Benjamin Hickey, Olivia Williams, William Petersen, Ashley Zukerman, Rachel Brosnahan, Christopher Denham, Michael Chernus, Harry Lloyd, Katja Herbers, Harry Lloyd, Mamie Gummer and Griffin Dunne. The show is set Los Alamos, New Mexico during World War II and follows the brilliant but flawed scientists who built the first atomic bomb and their families.
David Lawrence to Score Douglas McGrath’s HBO Documentary ‘Becoming Mike Nichols’
David Lawrence has signed on to score the upcoming documentary Becoming Mike Nichols. The film is directed by Douglas McGrath (Emma, Nicholas Nickleby, I Don’t Know How She Does It, Infamous) and shows director, producer and improvisational comedy Mike Nichols’ final and historic interviews filmed just months before his death. The movie documents the early life of Nichols (The Graduate, Closer, The Birdcage, Charlie Wilson’s War), as he opens up to his friend and director Jack O’Brien about the storied beginnings of his career. McGrath is also producing the project with Frank Rich and Jack O’Brien. Lawrence has previously collaborated with the director on the 2000 comedy Company Men.
Bernadette Peters’ ‘Come On a My House’ from ‘Mozart in the Jungle’ Released
Amazon Content Services has released the cover version of Come On a My House performed by actress Bernadette Peters from the Amazon original series Mozart in the Jungle. The song, which was written by Ross Bagdasarian & William Saroyan and originally performed by Rosemary Clooney, is featured in the second season of the show, which premiered today on Amazon Prime. The track is now available to download on Amazon. Mark Mothersbaugh Scoring Fox’s ‘Bordertown’
Mark Mothersbaugh is scoring the new Fox animated series Bordertown. The show is created by Mark Hentemann (Family Guy) and features the voices of Hank Azaria, Alex Borstein, Missi Pyle, Judah Friedlander and Nicholas Gonzalez. The series centers on two families living in a Southwest desert town on the United States-Mexico border, one headed by a border patrol agent, the other by an industrious Mexican immigrant. Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy, American Dad, Ted, A Million Ways to Die in the West) is executive producing the 20th Century Fox Television production with Hentemann.
Trevor Morris to Score ABC’s ‘Of Kings and Prophets’
Trevor Morris has been tapped to score the upcoming ABC drama Of Kings and Prophets. The show is created by Adam Cooper & Bill Collage (Exodus: Gods and Kings, Tower Heist) and stars Ray Winstone, Olly Rix, Mohammad Bakri, Simone Kessell, Nathaniel Parker, Haaz Sleiman, James Floyd, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Jeanine Mason and David Walmsley. The biblical drama centers around a battle-weary king, a powerful and resentful prophet, and a resourceful young shepherd who are on a collision course with destiny. Cooper and Collage are also executive producing the ABC Studios production with Chris Brancato (Narcos), Jason Reed, Reza Aslan and Mahyad Tousi.
Jon Ehrlich & Jason Derlatka Scoring ABC Family/Freefrom’s ‘Recovery Road’
Jon Ehrlich and Jason Derlatka are scoring the new ABC Family/Freefrom original series Recovery Road. The show is created by Bert V. Royal (Easy A) & Karen DiConcetto based on the young adult novel by Blake Nelson and stars Jessica Sula, Alexis Carra, Sebastian De Souza, Daniel Franzese, Sharon Leal, Kyla Pratt and David Witts. The drama follows a teenage girl struggling with addiction who is moving into a sober-living facility while still dealing with the normal pressures of being a teenager. Royal and DiConcetto are also executive producing the project with Craig Piligian & Beth Miller and Danielle VonZerneck.
Mac Quayle’s ‘Mr. Robot’ Soundtrack to Be Released Summer 2016
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the critically acclaimed USA original series Mr. Robot. The album will feature selections from the Golden Globe-nominated show’s original music composed by Mac Quayle (American Horror Story: Freak Show & Hotel, Scream Queens). The soundtrack is set to be released in the summer of 2016 before the drama’s second season premiere. As previously reported, a soundtrack was originally planned for a release to coincide with the show’s home video release in January. The full details of the album will be posted on this page as they are announced. Mr. Robot is created by Sam Esmail and stars Rami Malek, Christian Slater, Portia Doubleday, Martin Wallstrom and Carly Chaikin.
‘The Go-Between’ Soundtrack Details
Air-Edel Records will release a soundtrack album for the BBC original movie The Go-Between. The album features the film’s original music composed by Christian Henson (The Devil’s Double, Severance, Sinbad, Triangle). The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 21, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Go-Between is directed by Pete Travis (Vantage Point, Dredd) and stars Jim Broadbent, Vanessa Redgrave, Jack Hollington, Joanna Vanderham, Ben Batt, Stephen Campbell Moore and Lesley Manville. The movie based on the novel of the same title by L.P. Hartley follows an elderly man who pieces together his childhood memories after finding his diary from 1900, which he wrote when he was 13 years old.
Tomandandy to Score USA’s ‘The Wilding’
The composer duo of tomandandy has been tapped to score the upcoming USA pilot The Wilding. The show is created by Silka Luisa and stars Jordana Spiro, LisaGay Hamilton, Dominic Fumusa, Antonio Jaramillo and Nadia Alexander. The supernatural drama centers on the Hayes family seeking a fresh start after their 17-year-old daughter is released from a mental health institution following ten years of treatment and whose ideals are quickly threatened when the daughter’s apparitions of the dead begin to haunt them once again. Tim Kring (Heroes, Crossing Jordan, Touch) is executive producing the project with Luisa, Justin Levy & Bailey Conway (Sinister) and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones (Sinister, Midnight Special).
