Vince Pope is currently scoring the upcoming BBC mini-series Undercover. The 6-parter is created by Peter Moffat (Silk, Criminal Justice) and stars Sophie Okonedo, Adrian Lester and Dennis Haysbert. The political thriller follows a woman who is about to become the first black woman to hold the highest ranking public prosecutor role in England. Hilary Salmon (Silent Witness, London Spy) is executive producing the project and James Hawes (The Challenger Disaster, Enid) is directing the show. Pope has previously composed the music for Moffat’s Channel 4 series No Offence.

Ruth Barrett Scoring BBC’s ‘Love, Nina’
Ruth Barrett is composing the score for the upcoming BBC mini-series Love, Nina. The comedy is directed by SJ Clarkson and stars Faye Marsay, Helena Bonham Carter, Jason Watkins, Joshua McGuire and Ethan Rouse. The 5-parter is based on Nina Stibbe’s book of the same title and tells the story of an ordinary life of a nanny from the country trying to find her feet in London in the 1980s. Nick Hornby (Brooklyn, High Fidelity, About a Boy) has adapted the material for the small screen. He is also executive producing the See-Saw Films production with Clarkson, Stibbe, Iain Canning & Emile Sherman (The King’s Speech, Shame, Mr. Holmes) and Lucy Richer (River).
Chris Alan Lee to Score ABC’s ‘Uncle Buck’
Chris Alan Lee has signed on to score the upcoming ABC comedy Uncle Buck. The show is developed by Steven Cragg and Brian Bradley and stars Mike Epps, Nia Long, James Lesure, Iman Benson, Sayeed Shahidi and Aalyrah Caldwell. The series is based on the 1989 movie of the same title starring John Candy and follows a fun loving but irresponsible guy who needs a job and a place to stay and moves in with his brother and sister-in-law as their nieces and nephew’s Nanny has just quit. Cragg and Bradley are also executive producing the Universal Television and ABC Studios production with Will Packer (Ride Along, Think Like a Man, The Wedding Ringer).
‘Bitten’ Vol. 2 Soundtrack Details
Entertainment One Music will release a new soundtrack album for the supernatural TV drama series Bitten. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed by Todor Kobakov (The Samaritan, Born to Be Blue, Hellions). The soundtrack will be released digitally on February 12, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. The label has previously released a Vol. 1 soundtrack featuring the composer’s music from the first season. Bitten is created by Daegan Fryklind based on the short story Women of the Otherworld by Kelley Armstrong and stars Laura Vandervoort, Greyston Holt and Greg Bryk. The Canadian series airs in the U.S. on Syfy and will return for a third and final season on February 12.

Airing tonight is the Fox television event Grease: LIVE! starring Julianne Hough, Aaron Tveit, Vanessa Hudgens, Carlos PenaVega, Keke Palmer, Andrew Call, David Del Rio, Kether Donohue, Jordan Fisher and Boyz II Men. Republic Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the special by Jim Jacobs & Warren Casey, as well as two original tracks written by Tom Kitt & Brian Yorkey and performed by Carly Rae Jepsen and DNCE and an original track written and performed by DNCE. Premiering on Tuesday, February 2, is the FX original series American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Vance, Robert Kardashian, Sarah Paulson and Bruce Greenwood. The show’s original music is composed by Mac Quayle (Mr. Robot, American Horror Story, Scream Queens). ‘Galavant’ Season 2 Soundtrack Album Released
Hollywood Records has released a new soundtrack album for the ABC musical comedy Galavant. The album features the original songs from the show’s second season written by Academy Award winner Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Enchanted, Tangled) featuring lyrics by Glenn Slater and performed by the series’ cast, including guest stars Kylie Minogue, Weird Al Yankovic, Eddie Marsan, Reece Shearsmith & more. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. The label has previously released a soundtrack featuring the songs from the first season. Galavant is created by Dan Fogelman and stars Joshua Sasse, Mallory Jansen, Karen David, Timothy Omundson, Vinnie Jones and Luke Youngblood. Lorne Balfe to Score ITV’s ‘Marcella’
Lorne Balfe has signed on to score the upcoming ITV original series Marcella. The show is created by Hans Rosenfeldt (The Bridge) & Nicola Larder and stars Anna Friel, Laura Carmichael, Nicholas Pinnock, Ian Puleston-Davies, Nina Sosanya, Ray Panthaki, Jamie Bamber, Sinead Cusack, Patrick Baladi and Harry Lloyd. The drama is set in contemporary London and follows a detective who returns to the Metropolitan Police’s Murder Squad after a 10-year long career break to start a family. Rosenfeldt and Larder are also executive producing the project with Tony Wood. Charles Martin (New Worlds, Skins), Jonathan Teplitzky (The Railway Man, Broadchurch) and Henrik Georgsson (The Bridge) are directing the 8-part series.
Soundtrack Album for ITV’s/Esquire’s ‘Beowulf: Return to the Shieldlands’ Announced
Sony Music will release a soundtrack album for the ITV original series Beowulf: Return to the Shieldlands. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed by Rob Lane (Merlin, Longford, The Damned United, John Adams). The soundtrack will be released on March 11, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Beowulf is created by James Dormer and stars Kieran Bew, William Hurt, Joanne Whalley, Ed Speleers and David Ajala. The show follows a troubled warrior who experiences love and loss yet shares a deep binding comradery with his fellow kinsmen.
Andy Gray to Score Syfy’s ‘Hunters’
Andy Gray has been hired to score the upcoming Syfy original series Hunters. The show is developed by Natalie Chaidez (12 Monkeys, Heroes) based on Whitley Strieber’s best-selling novel Alien Hunter and stars Julian McMahon, Nathan Phillips, Britne Oldford, Lewis Fitz-Gerald, Mark Coles Smith, Gareth Davies, Shannon Berry and Laura Gordon. The drama chronicles the disappearance of the wife of a decorated Philadelphia cop which leads him to a secret government unit assembled to hunt a group of ruthless terrorists. Gale Anne Hurd (The Walking Dead, The Terminator trilogy) and are executive producing the Valhalla Entertainment and Universal Cable production.
NBC’s ‘Crowded’ to Feature Theme by Jesse Novak and Score by Chris Alan Lee
Jesse Novak has written the theme for the upcoming NBC comedy Crowded. Chris Alan Lee is scoring the show, which is created by Suzanne Martin (Hot in Cleveland, The Client List) and stars Patrick Warburton, Carrie Preston, Miranda Cosgrove, Mia Serafino, Stacy Keach and Carlease Burke. The series follows two recent empty-nesters whose plans change when their children and their parents move back home. Martin is also executive producing the Universal Television production with Sean Hayes, Todd Milliner (Grimm) and James Burrows (Will & Grace, Cheers, Mike & Molly).
