ABC has announced that Sub Pop Records will release music from the ABC comedy The Major every Friday, preceding each Tuesday night episode throughout the season. The first two tracks, Right Here from the pilot episode is now available to download on iTunes and the song Brokenomics from The Filibuster episode can be downloaded here. The songs are performed by Brandon Micheal Hall (aka Courtney Rose) and members of the cast, written by Daveed Diggs, William Hutson and Jonathan Snipes (of the group Clipping).

Carter Burwell to Score Netflix’s ‘The Ballad of Buster Scruggs’
Carter Burwell is set to reteam with the Coen Brothers on the upcoming Netflix original series The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. The show is written and directed by Joel & Ethan Coen and stars Tim Blake Nelson, James Franco, Zoe Kazan, Tyne Daly, Ralph Ineson and Stephen Root. The western anthology series will feature six tales about the American frontier. Each chapter will feature a distinct story about the American West. The Coens are also executive producing the project with Megan Ellison (Foxcatcher, Her, American Hustle) & Sue Naegle (Outcast) for Annapurna Television, as well as Robert Graf.
Nat Geo’s ‘The Long Road Home’ to Feature Music by Jeff Beal
Jeff Beal has been tapped to score the upcoming Nat Geo original mini-series The Long Road Home. The 8-parter is developed by Mikko Alanne (The 33) and stars Michael Kelly, Jason Ritter, Kate Bosworth, Sarah Wayne Callies, Jeremy Sisto and Noel Fisher, Jon Beavers, E.J. Bonilla, Jorge Diaz, Darius Homayoun and Patrick Schwarzenegger. The military drama is based on the book of the same name by Martha Raddatz and chronicles the events of April 4th, 2004, when a platoon was ambushed in Sadr City, Baghdad, in an attack that came to be known as “Black Sunday.”
‘Supergirl’ Season 2 Soundtrack Details
WaterTower Music and La-La Land Records will release the second soundtrack album for the CW drama Supergirl. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Blake Neely (The Flash, Arrow, Riverdale, Legends of Tomorrow, Blindspot, Everwood). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow. A CD version is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The labels have previously released a soundtrack album featuring Neely’s music from the series’ first season. Supergirl is developed by Greg Berlanti, Ali Adler & Sarah Schechter based on the DC Comic characters and stars Melissa Benoist, Calista Flockhart, Mehcad Brooks, David Harewood and Chyler Leigh.
‘Arrow’ Season 5 Soundtrack Details
The full details of the fifth soundtrack album for the CW hit drama Arrow have been revealed. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s fifth season composed by Blake Neely (The Flash, Riverdale, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Blindspot, Everwood, The Pacific). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow by WaterTower Music (click here to download). The labels have previously released soundtrack albums for the show’s first, second, third and fourth season. Arrow based on the DC Comics series starring Stephen Amell, Katie Cassidy, David Ramsey and Willa Holland will return for its sixth season this Thursday, October 12 on the CW.

Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British series The Collection created Oliver Goldstick and starring Richard Coyle, Tom Riley, Frances de la Tour, Mamie Gummer, Max Deacon, Irène Jacob, Michael Kitchen and James Cosmo. The show’s original music is composed by Dominik Scherrer (The Missing, Ripper Street, Primeval). The drama premiered last year in the UK on Amazon and is making its domestic debut tonight on PBS. Premiering on Wednesday, October 11, is the new CW drama Dynasty created by Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage & Sallie Patrick based on the classic 80s show of the same title and starring Nathalie Kelley, Elizabeth Gillies, Alan Dale, Sam Adegoke, Rob Riley and Grant Show. Paul-Leonard Morgan (Limitless, Walking with Dinosaurs 3D, Dredd, The Numbers Station) is composing the show’s original music. Michael A. Levine Scoring Freeform’s ‘Siren’
Michael A. Levine announced this week that he is scoring the upcoming Freeform original series Siren. The show is based on a story by Eric Wald (View from the Top) & Dean White (The 100) and stars Eline Powell, Alex Roe, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Ian Verdun and Rena Owen. The drama is set in the coastal town of Bristol Cove, known for its legend of once being home to mermaids, which is turned upside down when a mysterious girl appears and begins wreaking havoc upon the small fishing town. Wald and White are also executive producing the project with showrunner Emily Whitesell (Finding Carter), Brad Luff (Torque), Nate Hopper and RD Robb.
Dhani Harrison and Paul Hicks Scoring Showtime’s ‘White Famous’
Dhani Harrison and Paul Hicks are composing the original score for the new Showtime original series White Famous. The show is created by Tom Kapinos (Californication, Lucifer) and stars Jay Pharoa, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Jacob Ming-Trent, Lonnie Chavis and Meagan Good. The comedy is based on the life of actor Jamie Foxx and follows a young African-American comedian whose star is on the rise and must navigate to maintain his credibility while attempting to become “white famous.” Kapinos is also executive producing the project with Foxx and Tim Story (Fantastic Four, Ride Along, Think Like a Man) who also directed the pilot episode.
