BMG will release as soundtrack album for the German television series Babylon Berlin. The album features the show’s original music composed by Johnny Klimek & Tom Tykwer (Cloud Atlas, Run Lola Run, The International, Sense8, Perfume: The Story of a Murderer). Also included are tracks by The Bryan Ferry Orchestra, Moka Efti Orchestra, Tim Fischer & more. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on November 24, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Babylon Berlin is co-created and -directed by Tykwer and stars Volker Bruch, Liv Lisa Fries, Matthias Brandt, Hannah Herzsprung, Karl Markovics, Lars Eidinger and Sebastian Urzen. The drama is based on Volker Kutscher’s book Der nasse Fisch and follows a police inspector caught up in a web of drugs, sex, political intrigue and murder in go-go Berlin as Germany teeters on the edge of Nazism.

Songs from ‘Stranger Things’ to Be Released
Sony Music Entertainment’s Legacy Recordings will release a new soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Stranger Things. The compilation features 30 songs from the show’s first two seasons. Theme from CBS’ ‘S.W.A.T.’ to Be Released
Madison Gate Records will release the theme from the new CBS drama S.W.A.T. The track is a new version of Barry De Vorzon’s main titles theme from the classic 70s series and is performed by the reboot’s composer Robert Duncan (Castle, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Unit, Timeless, Terriers). The theme will be released as a digital single on October 24, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to an audio clip. S.W.A.T. is developed by Aaron Thomas and stars Shemar Moore, Stephanie Sigman, Alex Russell, Jay Harrington, Lina Esco, Kenny Johnson and Peter Onorati.
Freeform’s ‘Grown-ish’ to Feature Music by Vincent Jones
Vincent Jones has signed on to score the upcoming Freeform original series Grown-ish. The show is a spin-off of ABC’s hit comedy Black-ish and stars Yara Shahidi, Deon Cole, Chris Parnell, Emily Arlook, Trevor Jackson, Francia Raisa and Jordan Buhat. The series follows Zoey Johnson as she heads to college and begins her hilarious journey to adulthood but quickly discovers that not everything goes her way once she leaves the nest. Black-ish creator Kenya Barris is executive producing the ABC Studios production with Anthony Anderson, Laurence Fishburne, Helen Sugland and Brian Dobbins.
Cliff Martinez to Score Amazon’s ‘Too Old To Die Young’ & ‘Den of Thieves’
Cliff Martinez is set to reteam with Nicolas Winding Refn on the upcoming Amazon original series Too Old To Die Young. The show is written by Winding Refn & comic author Ed Brubaker (Captain America, The Fade In) and explores the criminal underbelly of Los Angeles. Miles Teller is set to star in the drama as a grieving police officer who finds himself in an underworld filled with working-class hit men, Yakuza soldiers, cartel assassins sent from Mexico, Russian mafia captains and gangs of teen killers. Refn will be directing all ten episodes of the show’s first season.
‘Samurai Jack’ Season 5 Soundtrack to Be Released
Adult Swim Music will release the first soundtrack album for the animated series Samurai Jack. The album features the original music from the fifth season of the show composed by Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, 300, Watchmen, Dawn of the Dead, John Wick), Joanne Higginbottom and Dieter Hartmann. Ruth Barrett to Score BBC’s ‘Collateral’
Ruth Barrett has been tapped to score the upcoming BBC mini-series Collateral. The show is created by David Hare (The Hours, The Reader, Denial) and stars Carey Mulligan, John Simm, Nicola Walker and Billie Piper. The 4-parter thriller is set over four days in present-day London and explores the spiraling consequences of the fatal shooting of a pizza delivery man. S.J. Clarkson who previously collaborated with Barrett on last year’s Love, Nina is directing all episodes. He is also executive producing the project with Hare, George Faber & Mark Pybus for The Forge and Lucy Richer for the BBC.

The album features the original music from the show’s second season composed by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein who received an Emmy Award for their main titles theme last month. Stranger Things created by the Duffer brothers and starring Winona Ryder, Cara Buono, Charlie Heaton, Matthew Modine, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dye and Millie Bobby Brown will return for its second season on October 27 on Netflix.
‘Orphan Black’ – The DNA Sampler Announced
Varese Sarabande has announced a new soundtrack album for the BBC America original series Orphan Black. The DNA Sampler features a number of songs as heard in the five-year run of the show by artists including The Ettes, The Belle Game, Eileen, (International) Noise Conspiracy, Dr. V feat. Ted Hawkins, Hooded Fang and Arya, as well as exclusive tracks created for the series. The soundtrack will be released on December 8, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has previously released two soundtrack albums featuring songs and score from the drama.
