RCA Records has released a soundtrack album for the animated holiday special Trolls Holiday. The album features the songs from the short performed by the project’s voice cast, including Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, Zooey Deschanel, James Corden, Ron Funches and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. Also included a suite from the score compose by Jeff Morrow (Olaf’s Frozen Adventure). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples and a CD version is available to order here. Trolls Holiday directed by Joel Crawford and written by Josh Bycel & Jonathan Feneris is based on DreamWorks’ hit musical-comedy film and continues the story of the Trolls and the Bergensased.

‘Blue Planet II’ Soundtrack Announced
Silva Screen Records has announced a soundtrack album for the natural history docu-series Blue Planet II. The album features the show’s original music composed by Hans Zimmer (Gladiator, The Dark Knight, The Lion King, Inception), Jacob Shea (Planet Earth II) and David Fleming (The Perfect Guy) for Bleeding Fingers Music. The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 29, 2017 (click here to download) and physically on December 1. Blue Planet II presented and narrated by David Attenborough, which is a sequel to the 2001 series Blue Planet, explores the underwater worlds, and was filmed over 4 years with 125 expeditions across 39 countries and 6000 hours of underwater filming.
Soundtrack Album for Netflix’s ‘Mindhunter’ Released
Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Mindhunter. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed by Jason Hill. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. Mindhunter is created by Jon Penhall and stars Jonathan Groff, Holt McCallany, Anna Torv and Hannah Gross. The series executive produced by David Fincher (who also directed multiple episodes) is set in the late 1970s and follows two FBI agents who expand criminal science by delving into the psychology of murder and getting uneasily close to all-too-real monsters.

The full details of the first song compilation soundtrack for the Netflix original series Stranger Things have been revealed. The album features a collections of songs from the show’s first two season by The Police, The Clash, Duran Duran, Bon Jovi, Devo, Echo & The Bunnymen, Scorpions, New Order, Peter Gabriel, Cyndi Lauper, Olivia Newton-John & more. Also included are dialogue snippets from the hit drama. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically this Friday, October 27 by Sony Music Entertainment’s Legacy Recordings. Hulu’s ‘There’s… Johnny!’ to Feature Music by Steven Argila
Steven Argila is reteaming with Paul Reiser on the upcoming period comedy There’s… Johnny!. The show is created by Reiser & David Steven Simon (Mad About You) and stars Tony Danza, Ian Nelson, Jane Levy, Roger Bart, T’Keyah Crystal Keymáh, Nate Smith, David Hoffman, Daniel Strauss and Andrew Schulz. The series follows a wide-eyed 19-year-old Nebraskan who stumbles into a job on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson in the 1970s and a young Talent Coordinator on the show. Reiser and Simon are executive producing the project.
Joseph Trapanese to Score USA’s ‘Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac & The Notorious B.I.G.’
Joseph Trapanese has signed on to score the upcoming USA drama Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac & The Notorious B.I.G. The show is developed by Kyle Long (Suits) and stars Josh Duhamel, Marcc Rose, Wavyy Jonez, Jimmi Simpson, Bokeem Woodbine, Jamie McShane, Brent Sexton, Luke James, Aisha Hinds and Letoya Luckett. The series chronicles the two major police investigations by LAPD Detective Greg Kading into the murders of Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls. Long is also executive producing the Universal Cable production with Mark Taylor (Underground).
‘Thunderbirds Are Go!’ Volume 2 Soundtrack Announced
Silva Screen Records will release a new soundtrack album for the British animated series Thunderbirds Are Go!. The album features music from the show composed by Ben Foster (Torchwood, Hidden Kingdoms, Scott & Bailey) and Nick Foster (The Cube). The Volume 2 soundtrack will be released overseas on November 24, 2017. The label has previously released a soundtrack album featuring selections of the composers’ score from the first season. Thunderbirds Are Go! based on characters by Gerry & Sylvia Anderson is based on the classic 1960s adventure series and features the voices of Rosamund Pike, Thomas Sangster, Rasmus Hardiker, David Menkin, Kayvan Novak and David Graham.
Daniel Hart Scoring Showtime’s ‘SMILF’
Daniel Hart is scoring the new Showtime original series SMILF. The show is created by Frankie Shaw who also stars in the series alongside Miguel Gomez, Rosie O’Donnell and Samara Weaving. The comedy follows a smart, scrappy, young single mom trying to navigate the realities of motherhood with an extremely unconventional family. Shaw is also executive producing the ABC Signature Studios production with Lee Eisenburg & Gene Stupnitsky (Bad Teacher, The Office) and Michael London (Sideways, The Visitor).
Dominik Scherrer Scoring BBC’s ‘The City and the City’
Dominik Scherrer is composing the music for the upcoming BBC mini-series The City and the City. The drama is developed by Tony Grisoni (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Tideland) based on the novel of the same title by China Mieville and stars David Morrisey, Maria Schrader, Christian Camargo, Mandeep Dhillon, Ron Cook and Danny Webb. The 4-parter follows the investigation of a detective in the Extreme Crime Squad of the fictional rundown European city of Beszel, into the death of a foreign student.
