Varese Sarabande will release a new soundtrack album for the Syfy original series 12 Monkeys. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s third season composed by Stephen Barton (Titanfall, The Six Wives of Henry Lefay , Jennifer’s Body, Unlocked). The soundtrack is set to be released physically on December 15, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A digital release is also expected to come out within the next few weeks. The label has previously released a soundtrack featuring Trevor Rabin’s & Paul Linford’s score from the first season of the series.

Adam Taylor Scoring USA’s ‘Damnation’
Adam Taylor (The Handmaid’s Tale, Before I Fall) is scoring the new USA original series Damnation. The show is created by Tony Tost (Longmire) and stars Killian Scott, Logan Marshall-Green, Sarah Jones, Chasten Harmon, Melinda Page Hamilton, Christopher Heyerdahl and Joe Adler. The period drama is set in the 1930s and follows a man masquerading as a small town Iowa preacher in the hopes of starting a full-blown insurrection against the status quo.
‘The Long Road Home’ Soundtrack Released
Capitol Nashville has released a soundtrack album for the National Geograhic event series The Long Road Home. The album features songs from and inspired by the show by artists including Lady Antebellum, Dierks Bentley, Eric Paslay, Darius Rucker, Hayes Carll, Dixie Chicks, Ryan Adams, Kip Moore, John Mellencamp & more. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. A separate soundtrack featuring Jeff Beal’s score from the drama is also in the works. The Long Road Home is developed by Mikko Alanne and stars Michael Kelly, Jason Ritter, Kate Bosworth, Sarah Wayne Callies, Jeremy Sisto and Noel Fisher, Jon Beavers, E.J. Bonilla, Jorge Diaz, Darius Homayoun and Patrick Schwarzenegger.
ABC’s ‘Harmony’ to Feature Music by Stephen Schwartz & Jon Ondrasik
Stephen Schwartz (The Prince of Egypt, Pocahontas, Enchanted) and singer/songwriter Jon Ondrasik (aka Five for Fighting) will be composing original music for the ABC musical drama Harmony. The show created by Peter Paige & Bradley Bredeweg (The Fosters) and Jacob Chase is set in the town of Harmony, New York, where residents are known to sing and dance to express their emotions and follows a detective who left the town as a teenager who must return to help solve a crime.
Soundtrack for Netflix’s ‘Alias Grace’ to Be Released
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the mini-series Alias Grace. The album features selections from the 6-parter’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Mychael Danna (Life of Pi, Moneyball, Capote) and Jeff Danna (The Good Dinosaur, The Boondock Saints, Storks). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 3 and will be available to download on Amazon. Alias Grace is created Sarah Polley and stars Sarah Gadon, Anna Paquin, Zachary Levi, Paul Gross, Edward Holcroft, Kerr Logan, Rebecca Liddiard and David Cronenberg. The series centers on Grace Marks, a poor, young Irish immigrant and domestic servant in Upper Canada who, along with stable hand James McDermott, was convicted of the brutal murders of their employer in 1843.
David Wingo Scoring Amazon’s ‘Sea Oak’
David Wingo has composed the music for the upcoming Amazon Studios pilot Sea Oak. The show is created by George Saunders (Lincoln in the Bardo) based on his own short story and stars Glenn Close, Jane Levy, Rae Gray, Jack Quaid and Sarah Hay. The comedy revolves around a lonesome woman who comes back from the dead to live the life she was too afraid to live. Hiro Murai (Atlanta) directed the pilot episode and is also executive producing the project with Jonathan Krauss and Evan Dunsky (Nurse Jackie, Hemlock Grove).
Evgueni & Sacha Galperine to Score Barry Levinson’s ‘Happy Valley’
Evgueni and Sacha Galperine are reteaming with Barry Levinson on the upcoming HBO original movie Happy Valley. The film stars Al Pacino as Joe Paterno, who, after becoming the winningest coach in college football history, is embroiled in Penn State’s Jerry Sandusky sexual abuse scandal. Riley Keough, Annie Parisse, Kathy Baker and Greg Grunberg are co-starring. Debora Cahn, John C. Richards (Nurse Betty) and David McKenna (American History X, Blow) wrote the script. Levinson (Rain Man, Good Morning, Vietnam) is also executive producing the project with Jason Sosnoff (The Humbling), Tom Fontana (Oz, Borgia0, Edward Pressman (The Crow, American Psycho) & Linday Sloane and Rick Nicita.
Marc & Steffan Fantini Scoring Amazon’s ‘The Climb’
Marc & Steffan Fantini have recently scored the pilot for the Amazon Studios comedy The Climb. The show is created by Diarra Kilpatrick (American Koko) who also stars in the series, which follows an office assistant who seeks an extraordinary life through internet fame, with her best friend always in tow. Christina Lee (Search Party, Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp) and Kilpatrick are executive producing the project produced by the Mark Gordon Company and Amazon Studios.

Premiering on Thursday, November 2, is the new CBS drama S.W.A.T. developed by Aaron Thomas, produced by Shawn Ryan and starring Shemar Moore, Stephanie Sigman, Alex Russell, Jay Harrington, Lina Esco, Kenny Johnson and Peter Onorati. The show’s original music is composed by Robert Duncan (Castle, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Unit, Timeless). Madison Gate Records has released a digital single featuring new version of the theme from the 70s series performed by Duncan. Lifetime’s ‘Flint’ to Feature Music by John Debney
John Debney has composed the music for the Lifetime original movie Flint. The film is directed by Bruce Beresford (Driving Miss Daisy, Double Jeopardy) and stars Betsy Brandt, Jill Scott, Marin Ireland and Queen Latifah. The drama is inspired by the Time Magazine cover story The Toxic Tap by Josh Sanburn and tells the true story of a woman who deals with the toxic water scandal in Flint, Michigan, and the effect it has on her family. Barbara Stepansky (Hurt) wrote the script. Craig Zadan & Neil Meron (Hairspray, Empire, Smash) are executive producing the Sony Pictures Television production with Latifah and journalists Katie Couric and Shakim Compere.
