BMG will release the first soundtrack album for the Syfy original series Z Nation. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first four seasons composed by Jason Gallagher who is also known as a member of the rock band Leroy Justice. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 24 and will be available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Z Nation is created by Karl Schaefer & Craig Engler and stars Kellita Smith, DJ Qualls, Michael Welch, Kellita Smith, Keith Allan, Russell Hodgkinson, Nat Zhang and Anastasia Baranova.

‘The 100’ Season 5 Soundtrack Album Announced
WaterTower Music will release a new soundtrack album for the CW drama The 100. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s fifth season composed by Tree Adams (Californication, NCIS: New Orleans, Perception). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 24 and will be available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. The label has previously released soundtrack albums featuring the composer’s score from the series’ third and fourth season. The 100 is developed by Jason Rothenberg based on the book by Kass Morgan stars Eliza Taylor, Paige Turco, Bob Morley, Marie Avgeropoulos, Christopher Larkin, Isaiah Washington, Henry Ian Cusick and Lindsey Morgan.
Showtime’s ‘Kidding’ to Feature Music by David Wingo
David Wingo is composing the original score for the new Showtime original series Kidding. The show is created by Dave Holstein and stars Jim Carrey, Frank Langella, Catherine Keener and Judy Greer. The comedy drama revolves around an icon of children’s television, a beacon of kindness and wisdom to America’s impressionable young minds and the parents who grew up with him, who also anchors a multimillion dollar branding empire.

Premiering tonight is the Syfy original movie The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time directed by Anthony C. Ferrante and starring Ian Ziering, Tara Reid, Cassie Scerbo, Judah Friedlander, Vivica A. Fox and Chris Owen. The film’s original music is composed by Christopher Cano and Chris Ridenhour who scored the previous four movies in the series. The sixth installment in the Sharknado series follows Fin as he has to go back in time to stop the first Sharknado and save humanity. Premiering on Friday, August 24 is the Netflix original series The Innocents created by Hania Elkington & Simon Duri and starring Sorcha Groundsell, Percelle Ascott and Guy Pearce. Soundtrack Album for ABC’s ‘Once Upon a Time’ Season 7 to Be Released
Walt Disney Records will release a new soundtrack album for the ABC drama Once Upon a Time. The album features selections of the original music from the seventh and final season of the show composed by Mark Isham (Crash, A River Runs Through It, The Accountant, Miracle), Cindy O. Connor (Not Forgotten) and Michael D. Simon (The Squeeze) who all received an Emmy Award nomination this year for their score for the series finale Leaving Storybrooke. The soundtrack will be available to download as a digital album tomorrow, August 17 (click here to download). ABC Studios and Intrada Records have previously released soundtrack albums featuring Isham’s music from Season 1 and Season 2.
Mateo Messina to Score NBC’s ‘I Feel Bad’
Mateo Messina has signed to score the upcoming NBC comedy I Feel Bad. The show is created by Aseem Batra (Marlon, Scrubs) and stars Sarayu Blue, Paul Adelstein, Zach Cherry, James Buckley, Aisling Bea and Johnny Pemberton. The series is inspired by Orli Auslander’s book I Feel Bad: All Day. Every Day. About Everything and shows one woman’s unfiltered take on the side effects of trying to have it all. Batra is also executive producing the Universal Television production with Amy Poehler (Difficult People, Broad City), Dave Becky (Master of None, Insecure), Josh Maurer (Howards End) and Julie Anne Robinson (The Last Song, One for the Money) who also directed the pilot episode.
Pieter Schlosser Scoring Hulu’s ‘Light as a Feather’
Pieter Schlosser (Destiny 2, The Lying Game, You, Me and the Apocalypse) is the composer of the upcoming supernatural thriller series Light as a Feather. The show is created by R. Lee Fleming Jr. and stars Liana Liberato, Haley Ramm, Ajiona Alexus, Brianne Tju and Peyton List. The series follows five teen girls as they deal with the supernatural fallout stemming from an innocent game of “Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board.”
CBS’ ‘Magnum P.I.’ Reboot to Feature Music by Keith Power
Keith Power is scoring the upcoming CBS drama Magnum P.I. The series is developed by Peter M. Lenkov & Eric Guggenheim and stars Jay Hernandez, Perdita Weeks, Zachary Knighton, Stephen Hill and Tim Kang. The show is a modern take on the classic 80s series and centers on a decorated former Navy SEAL who, upon returning home from Afghanistan, repurposes his military skills to become a private investigator. Justin Lin (Fast & Furious, Star Trek: Beyond) has directed the pilot episode, which Power co-scored with Brian Tyler (Iron Man 3, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Now You See Me) who will produce Power’s score for the rest of the season.
Mychael Danna’s ‘The Last Tycoon’ Main Title Theme Released
Madison Gate Records has released the main title theme from the Amazon original series The Last Tycoon. The track is composed by Academy Award winner Mychael Danna (Life of Pi, Moneyball, The Good Dinosaur, Capote, Little Miss Sunshine) who also scored the show and recently received an Emmy Award nomination for the theme, which is now available to download as a digital single on Amazon. The Last Tycoon is created by Billy Ray and stars Matt Bomer, Kelsey Grammer and Lily Collins. The drama based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s last work follows Hollywood’s Golden Boy, Monroe Stahr as he battles father figure and boss, Pat Brady for the soul of their studio.
Heather McIntosh Scoring CBS All Access’ ‘One Dollar’
Heather McIntosh is scoring the upcoming CBS All Access original series One Dollar. The show is created by Jason Mosberg (Arsenal) and stars John Carroll Lynch, Nathaniel Martello-White, Chris Denham, Philip Ettinger, Kirrilee Berger, Gracie Lawrence, Joshua Bitton, Nike Uche Kadri and Hamilton Clancy. The mystery drama is set in a small rust belt town in post-recession America and charts the exchange of a one-dollar bill amongst a group of characters involved in a shocking multiple murder.
