Siddhartha Khosla (This Is Us, Only Murders in the Building, Runaways, Your Place or Mine, Queenpins, Looking for Alaska) is scoring the upcoming Paramount+ original series Rabbit Hole. The show is created by John Requa & Glenn Ficarra (Crazy, Stupid, Love., Focus) and stars Kiefer Sutherland, Charles Dance, Meta Golding, Enid Graham, Walt Klink, Jason Butler Harner and Rob Yang. The 8-part thriller follows a master of deception in the world of corporate espionage who must use all the resources at his disposal when he’s framed for murder by powerful forces with the ability to influence and control populations.
Hummie Mann’s ‘The Second Civil War’ & Unused ‘Brokedown Palace’ Scores to Be Released
Dragon’s Domain Records has announced a new soundtrack album featuring two previously unreleased scores composed by Hummie Mann (Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Dracula: Dead and Loving It, Year of the Comet, Thomas and the Magic Railroad). The first title on the album is the composer’s music written for the unreleased “director’s cut” version of the 1999 drama Brokedown Palace directed by Jonathan Kaplan and starring Claire Danes, Kate Beckinsale and Bill Pullman. Island Records has released the official 1999 soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie and a track from the replacement score by David Newman. Also included is Mann’s score for 1997 HBO original movie The Second Civil War directed by Joe Dante and starring Beau Bridges, Phil Hartman, James Earl Jones, Denis Leary, Elizabeth Peña, Joanna Cassidy, Dan Hedaya, James Coburn and Ron Perlman.
Tony Morales Scoring Netflix’s ‘FUBAR’
Tony Morales (Elena of Avalor, Bloodline, The Bag Man, The Fugitive, The Endgame, In Your Eyes) has been tapped to score the upcoming Netflix original series FUBAR. The show is created by Nick Santora (Prison Break, The Longshots) and stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Monica Barbaro, Milan Carter, Travis Van Winkle, Fortune Feimster, Jay Baruchel, Andy Buckley, Barbara Eve Harris, Aparna Brielle, Fabiana Udenio and Gabriel Luna. The action drama revolves around a CIA operative on the verge of retirement who discovers a family secret and is forced back into the field for one last job.
Hollywood Records to Release ‘The Orville: New Horizons’ Soundtrack Album
Hollywood Records will release a soundtrack album for the Hulu original series The Orville: New Horizons. The album features selections of the original music from the third season of The Orville composed by Joel McNeely (A Million Ways to Die in the West, Holes, The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles), John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, Iron Man 2, Elf, The Jungle Book), Andrew Cottee and Kevin Kaska (Jump!, Ghost Party). Premiering on Wednesday, March 1, is the new CBS drama True Lies developed by Matt Nix inspired by James Cameron’s 1994 movie and starring Steve Howey, Ginger Gonzaga, Erica Hernandez, Omar Miller, Mike O’Gorman, Lucas Jaye and Annabella Didion.The show’s original music is composed by Toby Chu (Bao, Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return, Covert Affairs, Found, Fistful of Vengeance, Unforgettable). Also premiering on Wednesday in the U.S. is the British horror comedy series Wreck created by Ryan J. Brown and starring Oscar Kennedy, Thaddea Graham, Jack Rowan, Anthony Rickman, Louis Boyer, Alice Noakes, Miya Ocego, Peter Claffey and Jodie Tyack. Steve Lynch (Let Us Prey, Boys from Hell) is composing the show’s original music. A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score from Season 1 was released last December. Milan Records will release the first soundtrack album for the HBO original series The Last of Us. The album features the original music from the show’s first season composed by Gustavo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, Babel, The Book of Life, The Motorcycle Diaries) & David Fleming (Hillbilly Elegy, The Unforgivable, Blue Planet II, South of Heaven) . The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 27 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The Last of Us is developed by Craig Mazin & Neil Druckmann based on the hit video game and stars Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, Gabriel Luna, Murray Bartlett, Anna Torv, Nick Offerman, Nico Parker, Storm Reid, Melanie Lynskey and Merle Dandridge.
Tom Howe Scoring Amazon’s ‘Daisy Jones & the Six’
Tom Howe (Ted Lasso, A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon, Professor Marston and the Wonder Women, Early Man, The Amazing Maurice) is the composer of the new Amazon limited series Daisy Jones & the Six. The show is created by Scott Neustadter & Michael H. Weber (500 Days of Summer, The Fault in Our Stars) based on Taylor Jenkins Reid’s bestselling novel of the same title and starring Riley Keough, Sam Claflin, Camila Morrone, Suki Waterhouse, Josh Whitehouse, Will Harrison, Nabiyah Be, Tom Wright, Sebastian Chacon, Teddy Price and Timothy Olyphant. The musical drama tells the story of how an iconic 1970s band imploded at the height of its powers.
