Disney+ announced today that singer/songwriter Linda Perry (To Leslie, Luckiest Girl Alive, Citizen Penn) has contributed original music to the streamer’s upcoming original series The Muppets Mayhem. She also serves as the executive music producer of the show developed by Adam F. Goldberg (The Goldbergs), Bill Barretta (The Muppets) & Jeff Yorkes based on characters created by Jim Henson and starring Lilly Singh, Tahj Mowry, Saara Chaudry, Barretta himself, Eric Jacobson, Dave Goelz, Peter Linz, Matt Vogel, David Rudman and Anders Holm. The comedy follows the Electric Mayhem Band as they come face-to-face with the current day music scene when they try to finally record their first studio album.

‘The Manions of America’ Soundtrack Album Announced
Dragon’s Domain Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1981 mini-series The Manions of America created by Agnes Nixon, directed by Charles S. Dubin & Joseph Sargent and starring Pierce Brosnan, Kate Mulgrew, Kathleen Beller, David Soul, Peter Gilmore, Steve Forrest, Nicholas Hammond, Linda Purl, Simon MacCorkindale, Simon Rouse, Barbara Parkins and Anthony Quayle. The album features the original score from the 3-part/6-hour event series composed by Emmy Award winner Morton Stevens (Hawaii Five-O, Gunsmoke, Masada, Wheels). The 2-CD set, which is limited to 500 copies, is now available to order here, where you can also check out audio samples and learn more about the release.
Original Song ‘New Cool’ from ‘Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies’ Released
Capitol Records has released the first original song from the Paramount+ original series Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music platforms is New Cool (featured in the first episode of the musical comedy) written by the show’s executive music producer Justin Tranter, Brittany Campbell, Eren Cannata & Daniel Creanand performed by Ari Notartomaso and other cast members. Dominik Scherrer Scoring Paramount+’s ‘No Escape’
Dominik Scherrer (The Missing, The Tourist, Primeval, Ripper Street, The Serpent, The Widow, Baptiste) has been hired to score the upcoming British Paramount+ original series No Escape. The show is based on Lucy Clarke’s best-selling novel of the same name and stars Abigail Lawrie, Rhianne Barreto, Jay Ryan, Sean Keenan, Colette Dalal Tchantcho, Narayan David Hecter, Elmo Anton Stratz, Susie Porter, Josh McConville and Jake Macapagal. The drama follows two best friends who are on the run from their lives in the UK and find refuge on a romantic yacht, The Blue, crewed by a group of enigmatic people sailing through South East Asia.
‘Eva the Owlet’ Soundtrack EP Released
Platoon has released a soundtrack EP for the Apple TV+ animated series Eva the Owlet. The 6-track EP features the original songs from the show’s first season written, produced and performed by Fitz (aka Michael Fitzpatrick) of the indie pop band Fitz and the Tantrums. ‘Wild Isles’ Episode ‘Freshwater’ Soundtrack Album Released
Shogun Music has released the fourth soundtrack album for the BBC natural history series Wild Isles. The album features the original music from the show’s fourth episode (Freshwater) composed by Academy Award nominee and Emmy Award winner George Fenton (Dangerous Liaisons, The Blue Planet, Groundhog Day, Gandhi, Anna and the King, Hitch, Ever After). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The label three soundtracks featuring the composer’s scores from Episode 1 (Our Precious Isles), Episode 2 (Woodland) & Episode 3 (Grassland) and one more album will be coming out next week.

Premiering in the U.S. today is the Norwegian limited series War Sailor, a new version of last year’s feature of the same title, written and directed by Gunnar Vikene and starring Kristoffer Joner, Pål Sverre Hagen and Ine Marie Wilmann. The show’s original music is composed by Volker Bertelmann (All Quiet on the Western Front, Lion, Hotel Mumbai, Adrift, The Old Guard). Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last December. KOVAS (On My Block, Boo, Bitch, Freeridge, Fantasy Football, After Jackie) is the composer of the new Disney+ original series The Crossover. The show is based on the bestselling novel by Kwame Alexander and stars Derek Luke, Jalyn Hall, Amir O’Neil, Deja Monique Cruz, Sabrina Revelle, Trevor Bush and Skyla I’Lece, as well as Daveed Diggs as the narrator. The drama follows two twin middle school basketball phenoms as they struggle with growing up, growing apart, and finding themselves — on and off the court.
‘Abominable and the Invisible City’ Season 2 Soundtrack Album Details
The details of the second soundtrack album for DreamWorks Animation’s TV series Abominable and the Invisible City have been revealed. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s second season composed by George Shaw (Escape the Night, Little Sorcerer). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 31 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The label has previously released an album featuring the composer’s music from Season 1 last year. Abominable and the Invisible City is developed by Katherine Nolfi based on DreamWorks Animation’s 2019 feature Abominable and stars Chloe Bennet, Tenzing Trainor, Michelle Wong, Alan Cumming, Ethan Loh, Darin De Paul and Karen Huie.
Anamanaguchi & Joseph Trapanese to Compose Music for Netflix’s ‘Scott Pilgrim vs. the World’ Anime Series
Netflix and UCP announced today that rock band Anamanaguchi (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game) and Joseph Trapanese (Oblivion, Shadow and Bone, The Witcher, Straight Outta Compton, The Greatest Showman) will score an upcoming anime series based on Edgar Wright’s 2010 feature Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. Anamanaguchi will also contribute original songs for the show, which will feature the voices of Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Satya Bhabha, Kieran Culkin, Chris Evans, Anna Kendrick, Brie Larson, Aubrey Plaza, Alison Pill, Brandon Routh, Jason Schwartzman, Johnny Simmons, Mark Webber, Mae Whitman and Ellen Wong who will all reprise their roles from the live-action film.
