Mondo, in partnership with Amazon Studios and Sparks and Shadows, has announced a Complete Soundtrack Collection for the first season of the Prime Video original series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. The 10-CD box set features the original music from all eight episodes of Season 1 composed by Emmy Award winner Bear McCreary (Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Outlander, Battlestar Galactica, 10 Cloverfield Lane, The Walking Dead, Happy Death Day), as well as the original 2-CD soundtrack release, which also includes Howard Shore’s main title theme and Where the Shadows Lie performed by Fiona Apple. The soundtrack collection, which also includes a 136-page journal featuring McCreary’s episode-by-episode account and is limited to 1,000 copies, will be released on April 26, 2024 and is now available to order on Amazon.

‘Wreck’ Season 2 Soundtrack Album Released
Steve Lynch (Obituary, Let Us Prey, Sanctuary: A Witch’s Tale, Boys from Hell) has released a new soundtrack album for the BBC series Wreck. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by and is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Listen to the composer’s first track (Welcome to Exodum) after the jump. Lynch has previously released a soundtrack featuring his music from Season 1 back in 2022. Wreck is created by Ryan J. Brown and stars Oscar Kennedy, Thaddea Graham, Jodie Tyack, Anthony Rickman, Amber Grappy, Peter Claffey, Miya Ocego, Warren James Dunning, Alice Nokes, James Phoon, Ali Hardman, Rory O’Neill and Harriet Webb.
Alex Somers Scoring Hulu’s ‘Under the Bridge’
Alex Somers (Honey Boy, Captain Fantastic, Causeway, Together, Together, Fresh, Aloha, Charm City Kings, Dawson City: Frozen Time) is scoring the upcoming Hulu limited series Under the Bridge. The show is developed by Quinn Shephard (Not Okay, Blame) based on the best-selling true-crime book of the same title by Rebecca Godfrey and stars Riley Keough, Lily Gladstone, Vritika Gupta, Chloe Guidry, Izzy G., Javon “Wanna” Walton, Aiyana Goodfellow, Ezra Faroque Khan and Archie Panjabi. The 8-part drama tells the 1997 true story of a fourteen-year old teenager who went to join friends at a party and never returned home.
Original Song ‘Get Your Irish Up’ from NBC’s ‘Extended Family’ Released
Lionsgate Records has released the original Irish “drinking song” Get Your Irish Up from the NBC comedy Extended Family. The track, which was featured in last week’s St. Patrick Day-themed episode The Consequences of Being Irish is written by Liam O’Malley and is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Also listen to the full song below. Extended Family is created by Mike O’Malley and stars Jon Cryer, Donald Faison, Abigail Spencer, Sofia Capanna and Finn Sweeney.
Kormac Scoring BBC’s ‘This Town’
Kormac (The Diplomat, Professionals, Tarrac, Red Election) has composed the original score for the new BBC drama This Town. The show is created by Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders, Eastern Promises) and stars Michelle Dockery, Nicholas Pinnock, Levi Brown, David Dawson, Ben Rose, Jordan Bolger and Eve Austin. The 6-part series directed by Paul Whittington tells the story of an extended family and a group of young people who are drawn into an explosive music scene in the Midlands in the early 1980s.
‘Call My Agent – Italia’ Soundtrack Album Released
Octopus Records has released the first soundtrack album for the Italian Sky original series Call My Agent – Italia. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Fabio Amurri (Within Sand, Baphomet). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Also listen the composer’s title track after the jump. Call My Agent – Italia is written by Lisa Nur Sultan based on the French series of the same title created by Fanny Herrero, directed by Luca Ribuoli and stars Michele Di Mauro, Sara Drago, Maurizio Lastrico and Marzia Ubaldi. The Sky Studios and Palomar production follows a group of agents as they try to keep their demanding clients in work and under control.

Premiering on Tuesday, March 26, is the HBO original documentary The Truth vs. Alex Jones directed by Dan Reed and executive produced by Nancy Abraham and Lisa Heller. The film’s original music is composed by David Schweitzer (Emma, Our Great National Parks, The Afterparty, Sanditon, Trust No One: The Hunt for the Crypto King, The Reluctant Traveler). The movie, which tells the story of how families whose children were murdered at Sandy Hook took on conspiracy giant Alex Jones in two courtroom trials, holding Jones and InfoWars to account for the myths they started spreading hours after the atrocity, premiered at this year’s SXSW Film Festival and will premiere on HBO and will also be available to stream on Max.
Premiering on Thursday, March 28, is the Swedish Netflix original series Ronja the Robber’s Daughter (Ronja Rövardotter) written by Hans Rosenfeldt based on Astrid Lindgren’s fantasy tale and starring Kerstin Linden, Jack Bergenholtz-Henriksson, Krista Kosonen, Christopher Wagelin, Maria Nohra, Sverrir Gudnason, Pernilla August, Johan Ulveson and Vera Vitali. Johan Söderqvist (Let the Right One In, Kon-Tiki, Madame Web, Anatomy of a Scandal, Battlefield V, After the Wedding, In a Better World) has composed the show’s original music. Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the Turkish Netflix limited series Who Were We Running From?. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Ahmet Kenan Bilgiç (Butterflies, Limonata, Draupadi Unleashed) & Can Saka (Yakamoz S-245, Overnight Republic). Who Were We Running From? is developed by Ertan Kurtulan based on the novel of the same title by Perihan Mağden and stars Melisa Sözen, Eylül Tumbar, Başak Daşman, Musa Uzunlar, Birand Tunca, Alper Çankaya and Hakan Emre Ünal. The 7-part crime thriller revolves around a mother who is hiding a mysterious past and lives like a nameless fugitive with her daughter as they make hotels their home and see everyone else as a threat.
‘Samaritan: The Mitch Snyder Story’ Soundtrack Album Announced
Dragon’s Domain Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1986 television movie Samaritan: The Mitch Snyder Story directed by Richard T. Heffron and starring Martin Sheen, Roxanne Hart and Cicely Tyson. The album features the film’s original music composed by Craig Safan (The Last Starfighter, Stand and Deliver, A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master, Cheers, Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins). The soundtrack is now available to order as a CD-R on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more about the release. The album is also expected to be available to stream/download on all major digital music services in a couple of weeks.
‘ARK: The Animated Series’ (Vol. 1) Soundtrack Album Details
Lakeshore Records will release the official soundtrack albums for the Paramount+ original series ARK: The Animated Series. The albums feature the show’s original music composed by Gareth Coker (Ori and the Blind Forest, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Halo Infinite, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown). The Volume 1 album will be released digitally next Friday, March 29 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. ARK: The Animated Series is based on the Coker-scored hit adventure video game ARK: Survival Evolved and features the voices of Michelle Yeoh, Russell Crowe, Gerard Butler, Jeffrey Wright, David Tennant, Elliot Page, Madeleine Madden and Vin Diesel. The Lost Continent Entertainment and Lex + Otis production follows a 21st century paleontologist who finds herself resurrected on a primeval island populated by prehistoric beasts and must learn to survive with new allies from throughout time, while trying to uncover the true nature of their strange new world.
