Rachel Portman (The Cider House Rules, Chocolat, Emma, The Manchurian Candidate, Never Let Me Go, One Day) has teamed up with Jon Ehrlich (House, Parenthood, The Resident, Life, Invasion, About a Boy) to score the new Hulu limited series We Were the Lucky Ones. Portman has also contributed the main title theme to the show developed by Erica Lipez (Julia) based on Georgia Hunter’s New York Times bestselling novel of the same title and starring Joey King, Logan Lerman, Hadas Yaron, Amit Rahav, Henry-Lloyd Hughes, Sam Woolf, Moran Rosenblatt, Michael Aloni, Eva Feiler, Lior Ashkenazi and Robin Weigert. The 8-part drama tells the true story of a Jewish family who is determined to survive and reunite after being separated in World War II.

Singer/songwriter and composer Keaton Henson (Supernova, Anne Boleyn, Something Better to Come) has provided the original score for the new ITV drama Passenger. The show is created by actor Andrew Buchan and stars Wunmi Mosaku, David Threlfall, Rowan Robinson, Jo Hartley, Arian Nik, Barry Sloane, Natalie Gavin, Jack James Ryan and Nico Mirralegro. The 6-part series set in the fictional small Northern town of Chadder Vale and follows a former Met Police Detective as she investigates a series of strange and inexplicable crimes that have the townsfolk spinning on an axis.

Ali Shaheed Muhammad & Adrian Younge (Luke Cage, Run This Town, Boogie, Power Book III: Raising Kanan) are the composers of the new Apple TV+ original series Sugar. The show is created by Mark Protosevich (I Am Legend, The Cell) and stars Colin Farrell, Kirby, Amy Ryan, Anna Gunn, James Cromwell, Nate Corddry, Dennis Boutsikaris, Sydney Chandler and Alex Hernandez. The detective drama follows an American private investigator as he tries to determine what happened to the beloved granddaughter of a legendary Hollywood producer who mysteriously disappeared.
‘X-Men ’97’ Theme Released
Marvel Music & Hollywood Records have released the first track from the soundtrack for Marvel Animation’s Disney+ original series X-Men ’97. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music services is the X-Men ’97 Theme (based on the theme from X-Men: The Animated Series written by Haim Saban & Shuki Levy) performed by the show’s composers The Newton Brothers (The Haunting of Hill House, Doctor Sleep, Five Nights at Freddy’s, The Fall of the House of Usher, The Forever Purge, Midnight Mass, Oculus). The full composer line-up of the new National Geographic documentary series Photographer has been revealed. The show pairs the world’s most extraordinary visual storytellers with today’s leading documentary filmmakers, with each episode focusing on the story of an iconic photographer. The National’s Bryce Dessner (The Two Popes, Cyrano, Bardo, Manhunt, She Came to Me) has composed the score for the episodes Paul Nicklen & Cristina Mittermeier: Win or Die directed by E. Chai Vasarhelyi & Jimmy Chin about two of the world’s most iconic working ocean photographers, and Dan Winters: Life is once. Forever. directed by Pagan Harleman about the photographer who is widely known for his unusual and iconic portraits of celebrities, street photography, scientific work, illustrations and capturing the “hallowed grounds” of NASA. Robert Ouyang Rusli (Problemista, Test Pattern, Bruiser) has scored the episode Campbell Addy: Feeling Seen directed by Crystal Kayiza & Sam Pollard about the fashion photographer who landed on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list.
