Back Lot Music will release the official soundtrack album for Robert Eggers’ gothic horror feature Werwulf. The album features the film’s original music composed by Robin Carolan (Nosferatu, The Nortman). The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 18. Sacred Bones Records will release a CD and vinyl edition. Check back on this page for the pre-order links. Werwulf is co-written and directed by Eggers and stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Willem Dafoe, Lily-Rose Depp, Ralph Ineson, Vidal Arzoni and Bodhi Rae Breathnach. The movie is set in early 14th Century England and follows a mute medieval peasant who leads a quiet life raising a family on their farm, but with each full moon, he’s cursed to transform into a murderous werewolf. When a hunting party forces him to join them, he struggles to conceal his transformations, all the while fighting to save his soul and his family’s fate from the evil that lurks within. The film will be released in theaters nationwide on December 25 by Focus Features.
