Composer Fil Eisler (Empire, Revenge, How to Be Single, CHiPs, UnReal, The Titan) is reuniting with director Ben Falcone on the upcoming Netflix original film Thunder Force. The movie is written and directed by Ben Falcone (The Boss, Tammy) and stars Melissa McCarthy, Octavia Spencer, Pom Klementieff, Melissa Leo and Tyrel Jackson Williams. The comedy is set in a world overrun with super-villains and follows two childhood friends who reunite to battle the Miscreants that threaten to destroy Chicago. Falcone and McCarthy are also producing the project with Marc Platt (La La Land, Bridge of Spies, Drive).

British EDM artist Gazelle Twin (aka Elizabeth Bernholz) has made her U.S. feature scoring debut on the new supernatural horror thriller Nocturne. The film written and directed by Zu Quirke is part of Amazon’s Welcome to the Blumhouse series and stars Sydney Sweeney, Madison Iseman, Jacques Colimon and Ivan Shaw. The movie is set at an elite arts academy and revolves around a timid music student who begins to outshine her more accomplished and outgoing twin sister when she discovers a mysterious notebook belonging to a recently deceased classmate.
Tom DeLonge to Compose Music for ‘Monsters of California’
Tom DeLonge, former frontman of the punk rock band Blink-182, is set to compose the music for his feature directorial debut Monsters of California. The coming-of-age sci-fi adventure stars Richard Kind, Casper Van Dien, Arianne Zucker, Gabrielle Haugh, Camille Kostek, Jack Samson, Jared Scott and Jack Lancaster. The movie follows a teenager and his derelict friends on a quest for the meaning behind a series of mysterious, paranormal events in Southern California. DeLonge is also producing The Cartel, Striker Entertainment and To The Stars production with Stan Spry (Twelve Forever) and Eric Woods (Creepshow).

The movie follows a man who crashes his plane while en route to rural Appalachia with his family for a funeral and awakens wounded, alone and trapped in the attic of a woman who claims she can nurse him back to health with the Boogity, a Hoodoo figure she has made from his blood and skin. Kurt Wimmer (Equilibrium, Law Abiding Citizen) wrote the screenplay.

Aska Matsumiya (Skate Kitchen, Selah and the Spades, 37 Seconds) has recently scored the upcoming drama I’m Your Woman. The film is directed by Julia Hart (Stargirl, Miss Julie, Fast Color) and stars Rachel Brosnahan, Marsha Stephanie Blake, Arinzé Kene, Bill Heck, Frankie Faison, Marceline Hugot and James McMenamin. The movie is set in the 1970s and follows a woman whose escape from a toxic marriage leads her to form an unlikely partnership with another couple. Hart also co-wrote the screenplay with Jordan Horowitz (La La Land, The Kids Are Alright) who is also producing the Big Indie Pictures and Original Headquarters production with Brosnahan.
