Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the drama Disconnect. The album features the film’s complete original score composed by Max Richter (Waltz with Bashir, Perfect Sense), as well as the song Ni Su Nave by Jayme Ivison. ‘Patrick Doyle: Impressions of America’ Album Release Announced
Varese Sarabande has announced the release of a new symphonic work by Academy Award-nominated composer Patrick Doyle. The album entitled Patrick Doyle: Impressions of America features a symphonic piece scored for full orchestra and consisting of fifteen impressions. The symphony was inspired by the Scottish composer’s many trips to the US. The album will be released on April 16, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The release coincides with the composer’s 60th birthday next month. Doyle’s best known film scores include Sense and Sensibility, Brave, Harry Potter and The Goblet Of Fire, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Thor, Hamletand Henry V. The composer is currently working on the score for the action thriller Jack Ryan starring Chris Pine, Keira Knightley & Kevin Costner and directed by his long-time collaborator Kenneth Branagh.

Lakeshore Records will release the official soundtrack album for Terrence Malick’s new drama To the Wonder. The album features the film’s original music composed by Hanan Townshend. Varese Sarabande to Release Michael Giacchino’s ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Score
According to the film’s latest poster, Varese Sarabande will release a soundtrack album for the sci-fi adventure sequel Star Trek Into Darkness. The movie’s music is composed by Michael Giacchino who has previously scored the 2009 original film, as well as every other feature directed by J.J. Abrams. Walt Disney Records to Release Soundtracks for ‘The Lone Ranger’ and ‘Monsters University’
Walt Disney Records will release the soundtrack albums for two of this summer’s most anticipated movies. First up is a soundtrack album for the western The Lone Ranger directed by Gore Verbinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. The film’s music is composed by Hans Zimmer. The soundtrack is set to be released on June 25, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Lone Ranger stars Armie Hammer in the film’s title role of the masked crime fighter and Johnny Depp stars as his Native American sidekick from the popular 1950s TV series. Helena Bonham Carter, Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner and Barry Pepper are co-starring.
‘The Host’ Soundtrack Announced
Interscope Records will release a soundtrack album for the film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s bestselling novel The Host. The album features songs by Imagine Dragons, Hudson Taylor, Skylar Grey, Ellie Goulding, Hudson Taylor, Duologue, Jamie N Commons, Die Mason Die, Active Child and X Ambassadors. Also included is one track from the film’s score composed by Antonio Pinto. The Host – Choose to Listen will be released digitally on March 26, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. As previously reported, a different soundtrack album featuring Pinto’s score will be released overseas by Metropolis Movie Music and is now available as an import on Amazon. The Host is directed by Andrew Niccol and stars Saoirse Ronan, Jake Abel, Max Irons, William Hurt, Diane Kruger, Chandler Canterbury and Frances Fisher. The sci-fi romance will be released on March 29, 2013 by Open Road Films.

‘Gimme the Loot’ Soundtrack EP Announced
Sophisticon Records will release a soundtrack EP for the indie drama Gimme the Loot. The soundtrack features three songs from the film by Nicholas Britell & Mario Grullon, Rahzel Jr. and Chronikill. Gimme the Loot written and directed by Adam Leon and starring Tashiana Washington, Ty Hickson & Zoë Lescaze centers on two graffiti-writing teens who try to execute a complicated revenge plan in New York City when one of their works is defaced by a rival gang. The movie premiered at last year’s SXSW Film Festival, where it received the Grand Jury and also won the Independent Spirit Someone to Watch Award. Sundance Selects has picked up domestic distribution rights and will release the film in select cities on March 22.
Bill Conti’s ‘Bad Boys’ Score Released
Intrada Records has announced two new soundtrack albums. First up is the world premiere release of the score for the 1983 crime thriller Bad Boys directed by Rick Rosenthal and starring Sean Penn, Esai Morales, Ally Sheedy and Reni Santoni. The film’s music is written by Academy Award-winning composer Bill Conti (Rocky, The Karate Kid). The album features the score, as well as additional alternate and unused source cues.
