The film marks the feature directorial debut of Jonah Hill and stars Sunny Suljic, Lucas Hedges, Na-kel Smith, Gio Galicia, Ryder McLaughlin, Alexa Demie, Katherine Waterston and Olan Prenatt. The movie revolves around a teenage boy who finds his scene when he meets an eclectic group of neighbourhood skateboarders.

‘The Ninth Passenger’ Soundtrack Released
Fourteen Kings Music has released a soundtrack album for the thriller The Ninth Passenger. The album features the film’s original music composed by Scott Glasgow (The Gene Generation, Hack!, Chasing Ghosts, Hatchet III). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The Ninth Passenger is directed by Corey Large and stars Jesse Metcalfe, Tom Maden, Alexia Fast, Timothy V. Murphy and Cinta Laura Kiehl. The movie follows a group of eight college students on a spontaneous midnight sea voyage aboard a luxury yacht who are hunted one by one by a mysterious ninth passenger.
Claire M. Singer Scoring Annabel Jankel’s ‘Tell It to the Bees’
Scottish composer/performer Claire M. Singer has made her feature film scoring debut on the upcoming British romantic drama Tell It to the Bees. The film is directed by Annabel Jankel (Super Mario Bros., D.O.A.) and stars Holliday Grainger, Anna Paquin, Emun Elliot, Lauren Lyle and Kate Dickie. The movie is based on the 2009 novel by Fiona Shaw and centers on a a shunned small-town doctor and beekeeper in postwar Britain who befriends a struggling mother and son, helping them discover that love can be found in many forms.
Showtime’s ‘Kidding’ to Feature Music by David Wingo
David Wingo is composing the original score for the new Showtime original series Kidding. The show is created by Dave Holstein and stars Jim Carrey, Frank Langella, Catherine Keener and Judy Greer. The comedy drama revolves around an icon of children’s television, a beacon of kindness and wisdom to America’s impressionable young minds and the parents who grew up with him, who also anchors a multimillion dollar branding empire.
Christophe Beck Scoring Netflix’s ‘The Christmas Chronicles’
Christophe Beck is currently scoring the upcoming Netflix original movie The Christmas Chronicles. The film is directed by Clay Kaytis (The Angry Birds Movie) and stars Kurt Russell as Santa Claus. The family comedy centers on two siblings who try to prove that Santa is real by catching him on camera. When they accidentally cause his sleigh to crash in Chicago, they have to help get Christmas back on track before it’s ruined. Matt Lieberman wrote the screenplay based on an original idea by himself and David Guggenheim (Designated Survivor).
‘Tricky Old Dogs’ (‘Les vieux fourneaux’) Soundtrack Released
Gaumont has released a soundtrack album for the French comedy Tricky Old Dogs (Les vieux fourneaux). The album features the film’s original music composed by director Christophe Duthuron and Yannick Hugnet. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio samples. Tricky Old Dogs is directed by Duthuron and stars Pierre Richard, Eddie Mitchell, Roland Giraud and Alice Pol. The movie is based on Wilfrid Lupano’s and Paul Cauuet’s popular French comic book of the same title and follows the adventures of three elderly men who have been friends forever in spite of going different paths.
Victor Reyes Scoring Mark Steven Johnson’s ‘Finding Steve McQueen’
Victor Reyes (The Night Manager, Buried, Grand Piano) has recently composed the music for the upcoming heist thriller Finding Steve McQueen. The film is directed by Mark Steven Johnson (Ghost Rider, Daredevil, Simon Birch) and stars Travis Fimmel, Forest Whitaker, William Fichtner and Rachael Taylor. The movie is set in 1972 and tells the true story of the biggest bank heist in U.S. history when a group of thieves from Youngstown, Ohio, attempted to steal $30 million from President Richard Nixon’s secret fund.

Premiering tonight is the Syfy original movie The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time directed by Anthony C. Ferrante and starring Ian Ziering, Tara Reid, Cassie Scerbo, Judah Friedlander, Vivica A. Fox and Chris Owen. The film’s original music is composed by Christopher Cano and Chris Ridenhour who scored the previous four movies in the series. The sixth installment in the Sharknado series follows Fin as he has to go back in time to stop the first Sharknado and save humanity. Matthew Herbert Scoring Sebastian Lelio’s ‘Gloria Bell’
Matthew Herbert has recently recorded his score for the upcoming drama Gloria Bell. The film is written and directed by Sebastian Lelio and stars Julianne Moore, John Turturro, Caren Pistorius, Michael Cera, Holland Taylor and Brad Garrett. The movie is based on Lelio’s 2013 feature Gloria about a free-spirited, middle-aged divorcee hoping to find love on the dance floor. The director is also producing the project with Juan de Dios Larrain & Pablo Larrain (Jackie, Neruda).
