This week, Victor Reyes is recording his score for the upcoming psychological thriller Cold Skin. The film is directed by Xavier Gens (Hitman, The Divide, Frontier(s)) and stars Ray Stevenson, David Oakes and Aura Garrido. The movie is based on the book by Albert Sanchez Piñol of the same title and follows a young man who is approaching a remote island on the edge of the Antarctic Circle to relieve a weather observer who has been stationed there in solitude. But all he finds is a deranged castaway who has witnessed a horror he refuses to name. Jesus Olmo (28 Weeks Later) has written the screenplay.

Sean Callery, Victor Reyes, Mac Quayle & Danny Elfman Win Emmy Awards
The Creative Arts Emmy Awards are being handed out this afternoon at the Microsoft Theatre LA LIVE in Downtown Los Angeles. Sean Callery has won his fourth Emmy Award for the main titles theme for his main titles theme for Netflix’s Jessica Jones. He previously received three Emmys for his work on 24. Victor Reyes was honored with his first Emmy Award in the Music Composition for a Limited Series, Movie or a Special category for his music for AMC’s The Night Manager. Mac Quayle received his first Emmy Award for his music for USA’s Mr. Robot in the Music Composition for a Series category.
Victor Reyes to Score Miguel Angel Vivas’ ‘Inside’
Victor Reyes is set to compose the music for the upcoming psychological thriller Inside. The film is directed by Miguel Angel Vivas (Extinction, Kidnapped) and stars Rachel Nichols, Laura Harring, Stany Coppet and Craig Stevenson. The movie follows a pregnant woman, left partially deaf from an car accident which killed her husband, who receives a visitor at her an isolated new home who is trying to snatch her soon-to-be-born baby. Manu Diez and Jaume Balaguer ([REC] series, Darkness, Fragile) have written the screenplay. Adrian Guerra and Nuria Valls are producing the Nostromo Pictures production.

Premiering on Tuesday, April 19, is the mini-series The Night Manager directed by Susanne Bier and starring Hugh Laurie, Tom Hiddleston, Olivia Colman, Tom Hollander, Elizabeth Debicki, David Harewood, Neil Morrissey, Katherine Kelly and Tobias Menzies. The 6-parter’s original music is composed by Victor Reyes (Buried, Grand Piano, Red Lights). Silva Screen Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music from the show. Also premiering on Tuesday is the new CW drama Containment created by Julie Plec based on the Belgian TV series Cordon and starring David Gyasi, Christina Moses, Chris Wood, Hanna Mangan-Lawrence, Kristen Gutoskie, George Young, Claudia Black and Trevor St. John. Michael Suby (The Vampire Diaries, The Butterfly Effect, The Originals, Pretty Little Liars) is composing the show’s original music. The details of the soundtrack album for the AMC and BBC mini-series The Night Manager have been revealed. The soundtrack will be released on March 25, 2016 by Silva Screen Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Victor Reyes Scoring ‘The Atticus Institute’
Victor Reyes has recently composed the score for the supernatural thriller The Atticus Institute. The film written and directed by Chris Sparling (ATM) is set in 1976 and revolves around a parapsychology lab which uncovered the supernatural abilities of Judith Winstead, a patient possessed with dark forces. The movie’s cast includes Rya Kihlstedt, Aaron Craven, William Mapother and Laurent Rubin. Peter Safran (The Conjuring, Meet the Spartans, Vampires Suck) is producing the project. Reyes has previously scored the Safran-produced and Sparling-scripted thriller Buried starring Ryan Reynolds.
‘Grand Piano’ Soundtrack Released
MovieScore Media and Kronos Records have released a soundtrack album for the psychological thriller Grand Piano. The album features the film’s original music composed by Victor Reyes (Buried, Red Lights). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon. A CD version is set to be released on March 25, 2014. Audio clips are embedded after the jump. Grand Piano is directed by Eugenio Mira and stars Elijah Wood, John Cusack, Tamsin Egerton, Kerry Bishe, Alex Winter, Don McManus and Allen Leech. The thriller follows a piano virtuoso who returns to perform after being forced into early retirement because of stage fright. The movie is now playing in select theaters and is also available on VOD.

Victor Reyes has been tapped to score the upcoming psychological thriller Grand Piano. The film is directed by Eugenio Mira (The Birthday) and stars Elijah Wood, John Cusack, Kerry Bishe, Tamsin Egerton, Don McManus, Alex Winter and Allen Leech. The movie follows a piano virtuoso who returns to perform after being forced into early retirement because of stage fright. Damien Chazelle (The Last Exorcism Part II) has written the screenplay. Adrian Guerra and Rodrigo Cortes are producing the Nostromo Pictures production. Reyes has previously collaborated with the producers on this year’s Red Lights and 2010’s Buried, which were both directed by Cortes and produced by Guerra. Grand Piano is currently in post-production and is expected to be released in 2013.
