Quartet Records has released a soundtrack album for the Spanish thriller Escape. The album features the film’s original music composed by Emmy Award winner Victor Reyes (The Night Manager, Buried, Grand Piano, Red Lights, Perfect Strangers, Down a Dark Hall, Red Queen). Escape is directed by Rodrigo Cortés and stars Mario Casas, Anna Castillo, José Sacristán, Josep María Pou, Guillermo Toledo, Blanca Portillo, Juanjo Puigcorbé, José García, David Lorente and Albert Pla. The movie, which is executive produced by Martin Scorsese, is based on the novel of the same name by Enrique Rubio and follows a young man who wants to live in prison and will do whatever it takes to get there.

‘Love Gets a Room’ Soundtrack Album Announced
Quartet Records has announced a soundtrack album for the Spanish drama Love Gets a Room (El amor en su lugar). The album features the film’s original music written by Emmy Award winner Victor Reyes (The Night Manager, Buried, Grand Piano, Red Lights, Down a Dark Hall, Perfect Strangers) who composed both the songs and the score for the project. The soundtrack is expected to be released digitally within the next couple of days. A CD version, which is limited to 500 copies, is now available to order on the label’s official website. Love Gets a Room is co-written and directed by Rodrigo Cortés and stars Clara Rugaard, Ferdia Walsh-Peelo, Mark Ryder and Valentina Belle. The movie is set in German-occupied Warsaw during World War II and follows a band of Jewish actors contemplating escape while staging the Jerzy Jurandot-penned play of the same name.

Down a Dark Hall is directed by Rodrigo Cortés and stars AnnaSophia Robb, Isabelle Fuhrman, Victoria Moroles, Noah Silver, Taylor Russell, Rosie Day and Uma Thurman. The movie is based on the gothic YA novel of the same name by Lois Duncan and follows a boarding school student who confronts the darkly seductive powers of the headmistress and comes face to face with supernatural abilities.
Victor Reyes Scoring Rodrigo Cortes’ ‘Down a Dark Hall’
Victor Reyes is currently recording his score for the upcoming supernatural drama Down a Dark Hall. The film is directed by Rodrigo Cortes and stars AnnaSophia Robb, Isabelle Fuhrman, Noah Silver, Rosie Day and Uma Thurman. The movie is based on the 1974 novel by Lois Duncan and follows a boarding school student who confronts the darkly seductive powers of the headmistress and comes face to face with the supernatural abilities that could make her all-powerful or destroy her. Chris Sparling (Buried, Mercy) and Michael Goldbach (Daydream Nation) wrote the screenplay.
Victor Reyes to Score ‘Grand Piano’
Victor Reyes has been tapped to score the upcoming psychological thriller Grand Piano. The film is directed by Eugenio Mira (The Birthday) and stars Elijah Wood, John Cusack, Kerry Bishe, Tamsin Egerton, Don McManus, Alex Winter and Allen Leech. The movie follows a piano virtuoso who returns to perform after being forced into early retirement because of stage fright. Damien Chazelle (The Last Exorcism Part II) has written the screenplay. Adrian Guerra and Rodrigo Cortes are producing the Nostromo Pictures production. Reyes has previously collaborated with the producers on this year’s Red Lights and 2010’s Buried, which were both directed by Cortes and produced by Guerra. Grand Piano is currently in post-production and is expected to be released in 2013.
