Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is the fantasy adventure Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald directed by David Yates and starring Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Jude Law, Johnny Depp, Zoë Kravitz and Callum Turner. The film’s original music is composed by James Newton Howard (The Hunger Games, King Kong, Maleficent, The Sixth Sense). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Check out our previous article for the full album details.

Also opening wide is the crime thriller Widows directed by Steve McQueen and starring Viola Davis, Michelle Rodriguez, Elizabeth Debicki, Cynthia Erivo, Colin Farrell, Brian Tyree Henry, Daniel Kaluuya, Garret Dillahunt, Carrie Coon, Jacki Weaver, Robert Duvall and Liam Neeson. Hans Zimmer (Gladiator, Inception, The Dark Knight, The Lion King, Dunkirk) has composed the film’s original score. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as an original song by Sade. Click here for the full album details.

Soundtrack Album for Lukas Dhont’s ‘Girl’ to Be Released

Deutsche Grammophon will release a soundtrack album for Lukas Dhont’s drama Girl. The album features the film’s original music composed by Valentin Hadjadj (April and the Extraordinary World) who recently received a World Soundtrack Awards nomination in the Discovery of the Year category. The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 5, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Girl is co-written and directed by Dhont and stars Victor Polster, Arieh Worthalter, Oliver Bodart, Tijmen Govaerts, Katelijne Damen, Valentijn Dhaenens, Magali Elali and Alice de Broqueville. The movie centers on a determined 15-year-old girl, who was born in a boy’s body, committed to becoming a professional ballerina.

batman-v-supermanGuaranteed to top the weekend box office is Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter and Gal Gadot. The film’s original music is composed by Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, Man of Steel) and Junkie XL (Deadpool, Mad Max: Fury Road, 300: Rise of an Empire). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score in several different versions. Check out our previous article for the full album details. my-big-fat-greek-wedding-2Also opening wide is the romantic comedy sequel My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 directed by Kirk Jones and starring Nia Vardalos, John Corbett, Lainie Kazan, Michael Constantine, Andrea Martin, Ian Gomez, Alex Wolff, Elena Kampouris, John Stamos, Rita Wilson and Joey Faton. Christopher Lennertz (Ride Along, Agent Carter, Horrible Bosses) has composed the film’s original music. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as songs by The Bangles, Mandisa, Helena Paparizo  & more. ‘April and the Extraordinary World’ Soundtrack Details

avril22D Music will release a soundtrack album for the animated feature April and the Extraordinary World (Avril et le monde truqué). The album features the film’s original music composed by Valentin Hadjadj. The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 30, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. April and the Extraordinary World is directed by Christian Desmares & Franck Ekinci and features the voice of Marion Cotillard as the title character in the French original version. The movie produced by Je Suis Bien Content, the animation studio behind Persepolis, is set in 1941 and follows a teenage girl who goes in search of her missing scientist parents.
