Lakeshore Records will release the first soundtrack album for the USA original series Queen of the South. The album features selections of the original music from the show composed by Academy Award winner Giorgio Moroder (Scarface, Flashdance, Midnight Express) & Raney Shockne (The Do To List, Kevin Can Wait, Anger Management). The soundtrack will be released on July 13, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Queen of the South is is created by M.A. Fortin & Joshua John Miller and stars Alice Braga, Peter Gadiot, Hemky Madera and Veronica Falcon. The drama centers on a woman who is forced to go on the run and seek refuge in America, where she teams with an unlikely figure from her past to bring down the leader of the very drug trafficking ring that has her on the run.

Soundtrack Album for USA’s ‘The Sinner’ to Be Released
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the USA original series The Sinner. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s first season composed by Ronit Kirchman. The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 11, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Sinner is created by Derek Simonds and stars Jessica Biel, Bill Pullman and Christopher Abbott. The show’s first season is based on the novel of the same title by Petra Hammesfahr and follows a young mother who, when overcome by an inexplicable fit of rage, commits a startling act of violence and to her horror has no idea why.

Premiering tomorrow, February 26, in the U.S. is the BBC & AMC series McMafia created by Hossein Amini & James Watkins and starring James Norton, Aleksey Serebryakov, Maria Shukshina, Faye Marsay and Juliet Rylance. The show’s original music is composed by Tom Hodge & Franz Kirmann. Decca Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score from the drama’s first season. Also premiering tomorrow is the new NBC comedy drama Good Girls created by Jenna Bans and starring Christina Hendricks, Retta, Mae Whitman, Matthew Lillard, Reno Wilson, Manny Montana, Lidya Jewett and Izzy Stannard. Michael Penn (Girls, Masters of Sex, Boogie Nights, Solitary Man, Sunshine Cleaning) is composing the show’s original music. Premiering on Wednesday, January 3, is the new Freeform original series Grown-ish created by Kenya Barris & Larry Wilmore and starring Yara Shahidi, Deon Cole, Chris Parnell, Emily Arlook, Trevor Jackson, Francia Raisa and Jordan Buhat. The show’s original music is composed by Vincent Jones (Up All Night, Parks & Recreation theme song, F Is for Family). Premiering on Friday, January 5, in the U.S. is the horror thriller Before I Wake co-written and directed by Mike Flanagan and starring Kate Bosworth, Thomas Jane, Annabeth Gish, Dash Mihok and Jacob Tremblay. The Newton Brothers (Oculus, Ouija: Origin of Evil, Life of Crime, Gerald’s Game) have composed the film’s original score and Danny Elfman (Spider-Man, Batman, Alice in Wonderland) has provided the themes and additional music. Premiering on Wednesday, December 6, is the History original series Knightfall created by Don Handfield & Richard Rayner and starring Tom Cullen, Bobby Schofield, Sabrina Bartlett, Julian Ovenden, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Padraic Delaney, Simon Merrells and Olivia Ross. The show’s original music is composed by Andy Price (Robin Hood, Law & Order: UK). The drama chronicles the true accounts of the Knights Templar, the elite warriors of the Crusades during the 14th century. Also premiering on Wednesday is the new Syfy original series Happy! developed by Grant Morrison & Brian Taylor and starring Chris Meloni, Lili Mirojnick, Joseph Reitman, as well as Patton Oswalt as the voice of the title character. Blair Mowat (Class) is composing the show’s original music. The series is based on Morrison’s & Darick Robertson’s graphic novel of the same name and follows an intoxicated, corrupt ex-cop turned hit man who is adrift in a world of casual murder, soulless sex and betrayal. Premiering tonight is the new Showtime original series SMILF created by Frankie Shaw who also stars in the comedy alongside Miguel Gomez, Rosie O’Donnell and Samara Weaving. The show’s original music is composed by Daniel Hart (Pete’s Dragon, A Ghost Story, Ain’t Them Bodies Saints, The Exorcist) is composing the show’s original music. Zoe Keating and Jeff Russo (Fargo, Legion, Star Trek: Discovery) also contributed additional music. Adam Taylor Scoring USA’s ‘Damnation’
Adam Taylor (The Handmaid’s Tale, Before I Fall) is scoring the new USA original series Damnation. The show is created by Tony Tost (Longmire) and stars Killian Scott, Logan Marshall-Green, Sarah Jones, Chasten Harmon, Melinda Page Hamilton, Christopher Heyerdahl and Joe Adler. The period drama is set in the 1930s and follows a man masquerading as a small town Iowa preacher in the hopes of starting a full-blown insurrection against the status quo.
Joseph Trapanese to Score USA’s ‘Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac & The Notorious B.I.G.’
Joseph Trapanese has signed on to score the upcoming USA drama Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac & The Notorious B.I.G. The show is developed by Kyle Long (Suits) and stars Josh Duhamel, Marcc Rose, Wavyy Jonez, Jimmi Simpson, Bokeem Woodbine, Jamie McShane, Brent Sexton, Luke James, Aisha Hinds and Letoya Luckett. The series chronicles the two major police investigations by LAPD Detective Greg Kading into the murders of Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls. Long is also executive producing the Universal Cable production with Mark Taylor (Underground).
‘Mr. Robot’ Vol. 4 Soundtrack Announced
Lakeshore Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the USA original series Mr. Robot. The album features more music from the show’s second season composed by Mac Quayle (American Horror Story, Feud: Bette and Joan, American Crime Story, Scream Queens) who received his first Emmy Award for his work on the drama’s first season. The Volume 4 soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on October 13, 2017. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD version. A vinyl release will be coming out later this year. The label has previously released two soundtracks featuring the composer’s score from the first season, as well as an album featuring music from the second season.
