Peter Nashel (I, Tonya, Book Club, Marco Polo, The Night Listener, Bee Season) is scoring the upcoming documentary Totally Under Control. The film is directed by Alex Gibney (Taxi to the Dark Side, Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room, We Steal Secrets: The Story of WikiLeaks), Ophelia Harutyunyan & Suzanne Hillinger and centers on the Trump administration’s response to the pandemic crisis in the US. The movie, which features testimony from public health officials, dates back to this past January when the U.S. and South Korea both discovered their first cases and how nine months later the coronavirus pandemic has told two completely different stories across the two countries.

Netflix’s ‘The Innocence Files’ to Feature Music by Justin Melland, Jay Wadley & Peter Nashel
Justin Melland (Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes, The Force, Dark Net), Jay Wadley (Indignation, Tales of the City, Adam) and Peter Nashel (I, Tonya, Book Club, Marco Polo) are the composers of the new Netflix docu-series The Innocence Files. The show executive produced and directed by Liz Garbus (What Happened, Miss Simone?), Alex Gibney (Taxi to the Dark Side) & Roger Ross Williams (Life, Animated) tells the untold personal stories behind eight cases of wrongful conviction that the nonprofit organization the Innocence Project and organizations within the Innocence Network have uncovered and worked tirelessly to overturn.

Opening in most theaters is the superhero movie Deadpool 2 directed by David Leitch and starring Ryan Reynolds, Josh Brolin, Morena Baccarin, T.J. Peter Nashel Scoring Bill Holderman’s ‘Book Club’
Peter Nashel has been hired to score the upcoming comedy Book Club. The film marks the directorial debut of producer/screenwriter Bill Holderman (A Walk in the Woods, The Company You Keep) and stars Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen, Mary Steenburgen, Craig T. Nelson, Andy Garcia and Don Johnson. The movie centers on four lifelong friends in their 60s who read Fifty Shades of Grey in their monthly book club and have their lives forever changed — even though this is not the type of book they typically read. Holderman also co-wrote the screenplay with Erin Simms (Our Souls at Night).

Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the biographical comedy drama I, Tonya. The album features the film’s original music composed by Peter Nashel (The Deep End, Bee Season, Marco Polo, The Night Listener). Also included are the songs from the movie by artists including Cliff Richard, Bad Company, Doris Day, Heart, Fleetwood Mac, Violent Femmes, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Dire Streets & more. Peter Nashel to Score Syfy’s ‘Incorporated’
Peter Nashel has been hired to score the upcoming Syfy original series Incorporated. The show is created by Alex Pastor & David Pastor (Selfless) and stars Sean Teale, Allison Miller, Eddie Ramos, Julia Ormond and Dennis Haysbert. The thriller is set a near future where corporations have unlimited power and follows a young executive who conceals his true identity to infiltrate a dangerous corporate world to save the woman he loves. Ben Affleck & Matt Damon (Good Will Hunting) are executive producing the CBS Television Studios and Universal Cable production with Ted Humphrey (The Good Wife) and Jennifer Todd (Alice in Wonderland, Austin Powers series, Memento).
‘Dukhtar’ Soundtrack Released
A soundtrack album will be released for the Pakistani dramatic thriller Dukhtar. The album features the film’s original music composed by Peter Nashel (Marco Polo, Lie to Me, The Night Listener, Bee Season). Also included are the songs from the film performed by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Hina Nasrullah & more. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Dukhtar is written and directed by Afia Nathaniel and stars Samiya Mumtaz, Mohib Mirza, Saleha Aref, Asif Khan, Ajab Gul and Samina Ahmed. The movie follows a woman whose 10-year-old daughter is promised in marriage to a much older tribal chieftain and takes the girl and flees her village, only to be chased by her own husband and the intended groom’s henchman.
Netflix’s ‘Marco Polo’ Soundtrack Details
Sony Classical will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Marco Polo. The album features selection from the show’s original music composed by Peter Nashel (Lie to Me, Bee Season, Life on Mars) and Eric V. Hachikian, as well as the main titles theme by Daniele Luppi (Magic City). The soundtrack is set to be released on May 26, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Marco Polo is created by John Fusco and stars Lorenzo Richelmy, Zhu Zhu, Joan Chen, Benedict Wong, Remy Hii, Olivia Cheng, Claudia Kim, Uli Latukefu, Chin Han and Tom Wu. The show tells the story Marco Polo’s early years in the court of Kublai Khan, the Khagan of the Mongolian Empire and the founder of the Yuan dynasty, which lasted from 1271-1368.
