Back Lot Music will release a soundtrack album for the comedy Book Club: The Next Chapter. The album features the film’s original score composed by Tom Howe (Ted Lasso, Shrinking, A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon, Early Man, Daisy Jones and the Six). Also included is the original song Anywhere with You performed by lead actors Mary Steenburgen (who also co-wrote the track), Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen and screenwriter Erin Simms (already out now as a digital single), as well as Italian language covers of I’m a Believer performed by Deana Colon and You Make My Dreams (Come True) by Scott Stallone. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 12 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Book Club: The Next Chapter is directed by Bill Holderman and also stars Craig T. Nelson, Andy Garcia & Don Johnson and Giancarlo Giannini.

Tom Howe (Ted Lasso, A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon, Shrinking, Early Man, Professor Marston and the Wonder Women) is scoring the upcoming comedy sequel Book Club: The Next Chapter. The film is directed by Bill Holderman and stars Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen, Mary Steenburgen, Craig T. Nelson, Andy Garcia & Don Johnson who reprise their roles from the 2018 first Book Club installment (scored by Peter Nashel). The movie, which also stars Giancarlo Giannini, follows Diane, Vivian, Sharon & Carol as they take their book club to Italy, where their relaxing vacation turns into a once-in-a-lifetime cross-country adventure.
Peter Nashel Scoring Bill Holderman’s ‘Book Club’
Peter Nashel has been hired to score the upcoming comedy Book Club. The film marks the directorial debut of producer/screenwriter Bill Holderman (A Walk in the Woods, The Company You Keep) and stars Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen, Mary Steenburgen, Craig T. Nelson, Andy Garcia and Don Johnson. The movie centers on four lifelong friends in their 60s who read Fifty Shades of Grey in their monthly book club and have their lives forever changed — even though this is not the type of book they typically read. Holderman also co-wrote the screenplay with Erin Simms (Our Souls at Night).
